So I Have Some Tickets To A Rolling Stones Concert – Friday, Soldier Field In Chicago

My dad and his buddy were going to go but the show had to be rescheduled. He told me to see if I could find a buyer for them so let me know if you’re interested. There are three of them in a row and none of them are being used.

New Paperback: KB’s History Of In Your House

Pay per view is one of the most important aspects of professional wrestling. You can get a lot out of television, but at the same time you need a big show to build towards. That’s where pay per view came in, though originally they were fairly infrequent. Eventually the shows became more common, and the WWF even offered a series of cheaper shows. That’s where In Your House came into play, though there was a lot more to it than just some lower priced events.

In this book, I’ll be looking at all twenty eight editions of In Your House, which ran over the course of about four years. Each show will be broken down match by match and segment by segment. Included will be analysis and ratings for the shows to see what worked and didn’t work about the entire series.

The book runs about 270 pages and is available on Amazon both in a physical paperback for $9.99 or an e-book format for $2.99. In case you don’t have a Kindle, there are plenty of FREE apps you can get from Amazon for pretty much any electronic device, all of which are available at this link.

here as an e-book.

here as an e-book.

Or if you’re in another country with its own Amazon page, just search “KB’s History Of In Your House”.

Also you can still get any of my previous books on the Intercontinental Championship, Monday Night Raw from 1997, 1998, 2001, 2003 and the first half of 2014, Smackdown 2003, Monday Nitro from 1995-1999, In Your House, Summerslam, Starrcade, ECW Pay Per Views, Royal Rumble, Saturday Night’s Main Event, the WWF and WCW pay per views from 1998, Wrestlemania, WWE Grab Bag and Clash of the Champions, NXT Volumes I, II and III at my author’s page here.

I hope you like it and shoot me any questions you might have.

Money In Your Bank

Wrestling is a weird place. As fans, we sit around trying to figure out what is going to happen and very rarely do we get it absolutely right. There are too many wild cards in the mix and often they can throw everything that makes sense out the window. That’s what brings us back every week: a never ending desire to find out what these crazy people are going to do next, because there’s always something that keeps you hooked for another week.

That’s where things can get interesting. Sometimes you get a surprise thrown in and it takes away the security that you have. As confusing as wrestling can be sometimes, it gets even worse when you don’t know what’s coming and it doesn’t make a bit of sense. That’s annoying in wrestling and it can be even worse elsewhere in all forms of entertainment.

Wrestling is a little more tricky though as it isn’t exactly based in reality. Sure the storylines are supposed to be as realistic as they can be, but there are so many things going on that it’s hard to tell what you can really expect more often than not. That makes for a lot of things that are beyond your control, which isn’t something that would work in the real world, especially when it comes to putting your money at risk. Knowing some of these details in advance can be very beneficial, and it’s an especially good idea when you’re spending some money on something.

Your time and money are valuable and you shouldn’t have to worry about some big surprise before you invest either into something. That defeats the purpose of entertainment and isn’t something that you should take a risk on. It helps to know what you’re getting into before you get into it as it can make things a lot more fun, while also giving you the most of what you could possibly get for your investment.

Now with the rise of online gambling, it can be a lot easier to find out what you’re going to be doing before you start playing. Having something like Vegas2Web around to show you some more of the specifics can help things out a lot and make it that much easier to have a good experience and get the most out of your time and money. Places like this take a lot of pressure off of people who might be looking for something specific and want the best out of everything they’re trying to do with their time.

The thing about gambling or any kind of cards in particular is that there are so many ways to go about doing things. You might not know what you’re going to get yourself into and it can help to have a guide to walk you through what you’re doing. Otherwise, you might find yourself either not having the maximum amount of fun possible or just wasting your time, which isn’t exactly the point of something that is supposed to be entertaining (and profitable if you know what you’re doing). It’s a lot easier than it used to be and that’s a good thing for everyone involved.

Disqus Comments?

I’m not sure about this so I thought I would ask you all.

I’ve had issues with the comments system on here for years and the new one is only marginally better than the previous one.  There’s always Disqus but I’ve never been wild on it.  I’m considering switching over to them but I thought I’d get another opinion.  Does anyone like/dislike having Disqus comments as the commenting system?  I haven’t made my mind up one way or another and I could live with the system we have now sticking around.

Thoughts?

The More Things Change, They Change A Lot

Man oh man it’s that time of year again. We’re less than two weeks away from Wrestlemania XXXV and you can see most of the card from here. It’s certainly going to be a long show (as is the case every year anymore), but there are some rather intriguing matches out there. While you can probably guess the results of most of them, some of the matches aren’t quite as predictable as others, even though that might have seemed to be the case at one point.

The match that has changed my mind several times now is Seth Rollins challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title. At first this seemed like another successful title defense for Lesnar as we continue on the eternal search for the right person to take the title from him (read as we wait to build Roman Reigns back up again) but then things started to change and it got a little more fuzzy.

Over time, Rollins was getting back to the point where he was before his horrible knee injury: one of the most exciting and consistently successful performers in WWE. Couple that with Lesnar having trouble facing smaller wrestlers (certainly compared to his matches against power guys, which tended to be short, dominant performances) and you had all the makings of the final boss battle for Lesnar as Rollins could be the one that finally stops him once and for all, giving us a regular Universal Champion instead of a part time attraction.

Then we got to the big part: Reigns returned a little earlier than expected and has Rollins’ back going into Wrestlemania. That would be the same Reigns who took the title from Lesnar after chasing it for over a year. Having him back and healthy is the kind of thing that can turn everything on its head in the blink of an eye as it opens up several possibilities.

Think about all the places this could go. Does Reigns turn on Rolls? Does he help put Lesnar down to counteract Paul Heyman interference? Is it a repeat of Wrestlemania IX where Lesnar wins and then issues an open challenge, setting up a spear to give Reigns the title back for the big surprise celebration? There are actual options here, and that has changed a lot about the match, including the odds.

According to Graham Mirmina from SBD, odds of Seth Rollins winning the title of Universal Championship at this year’s WrestleMania is much better than Brock Lesnar. Sportsbooks have Rollins’ odds listed as -250 while Brock Lesnar’ are +170. However, Lesnar has been the keeper of the belt for a better part of the past two years so don’t be surprised if the odds shift in favor of Lesnar as April 7th gets closer.

It really has changed a lot in just a few weeks’ time and that’s what makes this time of year so exciting. What should have been a layup result just a few months ago is now one of the more intriguing matches on the show. These two could have a heck of a performance against each other, even if you knew what the end result was going to be. Now that there is a monkey wrench thrown in there, it isn’t as simple as it once seemed.

Wrestlemania offers so many possibilities and it’s often a lot more fun when you don’t know what you’re going to get. Fans often come up with what they think is going to happen in the first place but now, there are some different questions to be answered as we head into the show. That makes things a lot more fun and I’ll take that over “can we just get to the F5 already so we can move on”? It’s what makes Wrestlemania so great and hopefully that’s the case again this year.
