Some of the comments are being sent into the spam filter again.  I’m keeping an eye on it but if your comment doesn’t show up for some reason, please bear with me for a bit as it went through.  I’ll just need to find them elsewhere.

They’re still not working and it’s pretty clear that the version I have in now isn’t working. From what I can tell, the new ad system is messing with it and sending perfectly good comments to the spam folder. The problem is I have no idea how to fix that, so I’m going to have to find something new. Disqus is an option, and while I’ve never liked it, it might be the only solution around. I’m absolutely seeing the comments, but this whole thing of them not displaying until I check them isn’t working, either for me or you all. I’ll figure out something as soon as I can and I’m sorry again for them messing up.

Apparently some of the comments from regular users have been being sent to the spam section for reasons I’m not clear on.  I’m very sorry for this and I assure I’m not A, ignoring you or B, sending away comments I don’t like (I never do that, save for some kind of spam or a comment on there to insult etc).  If I don’t get back to you for whatever reason, please let me know and I’ll get to it immediately.  I’ll be checking the spam section more regularly too as I didn’t realize there was a problem.

I’m not wild on doing things like this but it’s something I need to do. As funny as the bit was/is, I’m going to have to put an end to it. The whole thing completely dominates the comments on too many reviews and multiple people have complained to me about it. I 1000% appreciate the creativity and effort put into them, but it needs to come to an end. While I absolutely will not ban anyone from the comments for something like this, I’ll be deleting them if the joke keeps going.

Please don’t do these anymore, as while they are funny, they seem to be alienating readers who have nothing to do with it and I can’t have that happening.

I’m not sure about this so I thought I would ask you all.

I’ve had issues with the comments system on here for years and the new one is only marginally better than the previous one.  There’s always Disqus but I’ve never been wild on it.  I’m considering switching over to them but I thought I’d get another opinion.  Does anyone like/dislike having Disqus comments as the commenting system?  I haven’t made my mind up one way or another and I could live with the system we have now sticking around.
