Favorite Theme Song

Simple question: what is your favorite wrestling theme song? For me it’s Real American.  The song immediately tells you almost everything  you need to know about Hogan.  We get the American aspect and that he’ll never quit.  With today’s rock music for almost everyone, it’s hard to explain anything about them and it takes a lot away from them.

Your picks?

Man, no way I could pick just one. I love so many for so many reasons. The ultimate warriors cause it fit his character so well. Edge’s cause I love alter bridge. Real American for the reasons u mentioned. I still get goosebumps when I hear the beginning of “sexy boy”. The fabulous rougeous cause it was catchy and fun and I loved how they’d sing it on the way to the ring. If I had to pick 1 I guess it would be the ultimate warriors

  2. noahconstrictor says:

What Anton said. I can’t pick just one. If I had to, it would be a three-way tie between “This Fire Burns” (Punk’s old theme), because I love Killswitch, “Metallingus” (Edge’s theme), because it gets me pumped for the match with the guitar riffs, and Undertaker’s theme, just because of the epicness of it.

  3. Boo Didley says:

    Million Dollar Man,
    Owen Hart’s first heel theme,

  4. FunKay says:

Probably Vince’s. It just showcases who he is. A cocky, arrogant yet powerful man who can back up what he says.

  5. Sebastian Howard says:

Sexy Boy, I can’t help it, I just love that song.

  6. Anton82 says:

Oh wow, how could I forget demolitions? If there was a perfect song for a team that might be it. Also evil Doinks was pretty cool. And taker and dibiase like u guys mentioned.

  7. DJ Pat says:

    In no particular order:

    Ultimate Warrior
    Fabulous Rougeau Brothers
    The Mountie (Vocal version)
    The Quebecers (same)
    Ted DiBiase
Undertaker (any of the Funeral Marches)
    Hogan (Real American)
    Mr. Perfect
    British Bulldog
Jake Roberts (Both Heel and Face)
    Doink (Heel Only)
    Big Bossman (Face)
    Dusty Rhodes
    Randy Savage
    and of course
Stone Cold Steve Austin (Glass Break Theme)

Interesting story you may haven’t have heard yet. When Jacques Rougeau’s heel “Mountie” character starting getting over, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police filed a Cease And Desist order against Vince saying the character was defamatory to the real Mounties of Canada. So Vince had Jacques team with his cousin and had the song rewritten: “We’re not the Mounties/We’re handsome, we’re brave, we’re strong/We’re not the Mounties/’Cause we enforce the law/You can try to run/But you can never hide/Unlike the Mounties/We always get our man”

I’ve heard that before. WCW got in similar trouble when Bossman was the Guardian Angel.
