The Opening Segment Of Raw

They really do make this too easy for me.The opening segment was Stephanie and Vince in the ring, talking about HHH not competing tonight.  Both of them made sure to remind us that Curtis Axel is beneath HHH.

So to recap:

1. Lesnar, not Axel, hurt HHH.

2. Axel did NOT beat HHH.

3. Curtis Axel is beneath HHH.

Go ahead: tell me how HHH is giving Axel such a great rub and how awesome Axel looks as a result of this stuff.  I’m waiting.

It would just make so much more sense to push someone young and talented. Rather than someone who’s best days are behind him.

That has to do with Triple H how? Also I didn’t say no one cares about Cena. I just said he was stale. Which he is. I don’t hate the guy like others. He works hard and seems to be a nice guy. He just bores me.

Here’s a question where is this going? Is there going to be another Lesnar match? Or is this going to lead to a match with Curtis Axel with a finish this time? The second one seems unlikely. Since they seem hell bent on reminding you, that he’s not on triple h’s level.

This is where it’s going (I know it sounds crazy but you’ll see…. you’ll all see…)

lesnar comes back during a HHH/Axel Payback match, squishes axel, Heyman initially looks shocked but starts laughing maniacally, brock and HHH stare off at each other, main event for summerslam set. It’ll happen, the way they’ve been writing Axel is leading to something resembling this scenario, either that or WWE Creative are even worse at pushing talent than i thought and this is their attempt at making a heel look “strong”

Because it sounds better for entrances.

Also, the idea of Stephanie calling him Paul was to show how “real” that was. Vince called him Paul when the Million Dollar set fell on him years ago. It’s supposed to sound like osmething so serious that it’s real, rather than the gimmick name.

I get where you coming from, it just seems kind of foolish is all. I mean he’s got a stage name for a reason. It’s not like anyone cares about Triple H’s never ending angle anyway. No matter how much the wwe says otherwise.

      • M.R. says:

But you’ve also said in the past nobody cares about John Cena, who happens to be the biggest star in the company by FAR…..

Stormy never fails to amaze me.

It’s Cena’s fault he lost the first one against Axel. A real man would have beaten Axel then go to the ambulance. Also, Axel has gotten WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

  5. M.R. says:

Axel hasn’t gotten a rub from anyone. If you think winning via countout has the same effect as by pin you’re either fooling yourself or a complete idiot.

    • Thomas Hall says:

I would disagree. The fact that he had Cena in a lot of trouble and that he survived the STF does him a lot of good. Just rubbing elbows with Cena helps hi alot.

      • matt says:

But there’s also an argument to be made that most of the rub he’s getting from cena is being negated by being treated as an afterthought during his matches.

Breaking even with the champ during a match is all fine and well, but when you’re out cold in the middle of the ring and the champ decides an ambulance is more interesting than finishing you off it leaves with the impression that you don’t matter, which is counter-productive to say the least

  6. BK201 says:

My only assumption is that they face off at Payback, and the ‘rub’ happens there. If at all.

  7. Stormy says:

Axel is still beneath a 2345937845 time Worlds champ. Sorry. That’s not opinion, that’s just fact. Axel has (now) wrestled 3 matches. HHH is going to the Hall of Fame as soon as he wants (regardless of if he was in charge or not). He’s been a top dog in the company for nearly a decade and a half.

And HHH is a legend, he shouldn’t be wrestling the young upstarts. Just like Bray Wyatt would be beneath The Undertaker (not a single person would complain if that was said), Axel is still beneath Triple H. He’s Triple H for goodness Sake, he’s not Zack Ryder.

Oh, and Axel DID beat HHH. HHH’s wife just wouldn’t say that.

    • Thomas Hall says:

Cena is a much bigger legend than HHH and not only has he fought Axel twice, he’s lost to him twice. The bell never even rang at the end of the HHH match. The match just ended in a no contest, like the Fandango vs. Khali match tonight. That isn’t a win.

Sure as hell looks like Curtis Axel defeated Triple H to me. I mean WWE said it’s a win. I know that’s probably not good enough for you, but last I checked that means it’s a win.

and yeah Cena’s a bigger legend then HHH, he’s lost twice thanks to outside interference, and Trips LOST once without interference.

        • Thomas Hall says:

Whatever gets you through your day Stormy.

        • Nate says:

Great, so the 6 people who read the Raw reviews on WWE.COM know that Axle won. Meanwhile, anyone watching didn’t hear a bell or a winner announced.

Triple H is booking himself to look better than Cena and it is pretty blatant. And kind of pathetic.

  8. Mouldylocks says:

Am I going crazy, or is Stephanie calling him Paul?

  9. M.R. says:

As long as Triple H looks good, he is the star of tomorrow after all.
