It’s Wrestlemania Sunday

It’s today. The show starts in about an hour and a half and for the first time I’m actually excited to see it. I don’t care for a lot of the card, but at the end of the day, there’s one thing that makes me want to see it: it’s Wrestlemania. This is the biggest day of the year for us and even if it’s the lamest show they’ve ever done (which it might be), it’s still Wrestlemania and that means it’s special.

I don’t know if the show is going to be anything special to see. I don’t know if any of the matches are going to be worth watching. I don’t know if it’s going to wind up being a complete disaster. But at the end of the day, this is the show I want to see more than any other of the year because for one night a year, the wrestling world converges on one city, one stadium and one show. It’s the most important event of the year and it’s just a few hours away. I know most people aren’t looking forward to it, but I’m excited all over again.

Sting’s about to wrestle in a WWE ring. I don’t care if he’s 63 years old, I’m sold.

Same. I freaked out over getting to meet him a few years back even though he was terrible in the ring that night.

I was meh on the whole thing too, but then I watched some bits and pieces of past Wrestlemanias today and I’m pretty excited now. It’s Wrestlemania. It really is like the Super Bowl. Even if the game isn’t the greatest, there’s always a few things to make it memorable.
