Can’t reply to that one due to it being too long so here you are BTF.

    1. It’s still a title change. As Gorilla would say, “history has been made.” Also anything that means less Eve is a good thing.

    2. Yes. Also, how many fans have any clue of that? My guess would be very few overall.

    4. The champion is no longer the champion. In other words, it’s different. If it’s different, that means it’s not the same. If it’s not the same, it means it’s changed.

    5. So translation, it was an in ring debut.

    6. Most gauntlet matches don’t run that long.

    7. Other than the one you made I guess.

For me, Edge is one of the greats. He mightn’t be seen as it now, but with each passing year, the respect for Edge will grow and grow. He was awesome in the ring, and has had some amazing matches, even more amazing with the fact he’s been wrestling with borrowed time. He’s charasmatic and great on the mic. He plays all his charachters so well. He’s up there in my opinion, top 20 for sure…and his legacy in a few years will be very different from now, all the haters and doubters will realise what Edge was, and his value to the World of Wrestling.

  3. Matt Jarrell says:

Well, to be honest Edge was in 3 lousy feuds with Kane. But Kane also had a lousy feud with Rey Mysterio, while Edge and Mysterio had great chemistry with each other, so that shows you whose fault that was.

  4. FunKay says:

That’s what I’m saying JGlass. He isn’t in the top 10.

  5. FunKay says:

‘one of the biggest stars of all time retired’? No disrespect to Edge, but he’s not that good. None-the-less this was an emotional evening with some interesting developments throughout. I’d agree with your rating here KB.

    • noahconstrictor says:

He’s not that good? He’s held every championship that the WWE has to offer. Along with The Hardyz and the Dudleys, he and Christian defined an era of tag-team wrestling that may never be reached again. He was one of the most hated people in the company with Lita for a long time. He is a 2-time Money in The Bank winner (1 1/2 really, but whatever), King of The Ring winner, and a Royal Rumble winner.

If that doesn’t make a guy one of the biggest stars of all time, I don’t know what does.

      • FunKay says:

Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Rock. These guys are some of the biggest stars of all time. They were popular in the ring and out and were well known throughout the world. Edge…less so. Just because he’s won a lot of things doesn’t make him one of the greatest ever. If it did he, Booker T and Jerry Lawler would be the three greatest ever.

        • JGlass says:

Jerry Lawler IS one of the greatest ever. I agree that winning a lot of different championships doesn’t make you one of the greatest, though, but Edge did a lot more than win championships. He was a damn good worker and made every feud he was in worth watching. Seriously, I can’t remember a single feud he was in that wasn’t pretty solid. He played a great face, a fantastic heel, and revolutionized the Money in the Bank briefcase.

To say he’s not that good is ridiculous, unless you’re saying he’s not THAT good in comparison to guys like Stone Cold, Hogan, and Rock, in which case, well duh. Edge still managed to break through to become one of the biggest stars of the 2000s, outranked only by John Cena and Triple H (depending how you look at things).

        • Thomas Hall says:

Taker isn’t one of the best ever. He’s famous for the Streak. After that, what has he done that is noteworthy. The Cell and……somebody help me out here.

Booker is good but to compare him to Edge or Lawler is laughable.

    • Thomas Hall says:

He has more titles than anyone ever in WWE, the most WHCs ever, he’s one of two people to hold every active male title in WWE, he’s won the Rumble, MITB, main evented Wrestlemania, defended the world title at Wrestlemania, record for most tag titles. What more can the guy do?

  6. JGlass says:

Edge’s retirement really made/ruined the entire me. I say it made it because I haven’t gotten this emotional over wrestling since… ever. I wasn’t watching when Eddie died, and while I was upset when Ric Flair and HBK left, but Edge has been one of my favorites. I’ve said that about 5 times today, but it’s true. It also ruined RAW for me because the rest of it became irrelevant.

I’m glad I read your review, because it put me back into things. I really liked Apple, and I hope we see them a few more times, though I hope they have better long term plans for Daniel Bryan (I think we all do). I’d be 100% okay with them being the ones to finish off Corre.

R-Truth in the championship match? So random, but okay. I have a theory that he’s in the match to take the rough bumps that Cena would have taken if it was a 1-on-1, but since they’re trying to keep Cena healthy they’ll make Truth do those bumps instead.

Thank you Edge! Super sad to see him go and everything in his promo felt real after a while. I still think he should’ve got a bigger send-off than that and it should’ve been the closer. Hopefully they do him justice on Smackdown.

So much happened on RAW I have to say it’s one of the best ones I’ve seen in a long time. The whole show was packed with drama and interesting developments – the only thing I didn’t like was Sin Cara unfortunately.

All Divas are the same? Could there be a link with Eve and the soon debuting Awesome Kong?
    Corre vs APPLE = hilarious.
New Nexus attacking Orton alone with no Punk… could they have split from him?
How much does John Morrison really value Melina?

  8. Born To Fly says:

I’m trying to think how this show could earn a “B” from you. Most of it had to deal with Edge’s segment, right? Otherwise, there wasn’t much in it.

    • Thomas Hall says:

How was the show mostly about Edge? That didn’t happen until halfway through the show.

      • Born To Fly says:

I am saying that there is no way this show deserved a B. Maybe a D and it was brought up to a B thanks to Edge’s speech. Nothing was of value in this show.

        • Thomas Hall says:

We had a new champion, a pair of new #1 contenders including a fresh face in the main event, a match signed for the PPV, a guarantee of a title change on Friday, the in ring debut of a major star, a match that ran 30 minutes and comedy.

What does it take to become value?

    • Born To Fly says:

      1. You got a new champion, but it was the women’s division. No one cares about it. You know that. I know that. Vince knows that. Why else would he put it on one of the Bellas?

      2. That fresh face is R-Truth. I understand it’s a new person, but how desperate is the WWE to put him in there? I know he’s just in there to do some spots and not be a threat, but R-Truth?

      3. The match signed for the PPV could be one of the worst at the PPV. There is no reason R-Truth should be in the main event at a PPV.

      4. Do you think there will be a title change on Friday? They’ll probably vacate it and put it up for grabs at the PPV.

      5. The in-ring debut of a major star was a bust. It was an awful match with a botched ending.

      6. Good point, but it was the gauntlet match. If it goes shorter than that, it would be an abomination.

      7. That was comedy? All right.

      • Thomas Hall says:

        1. So translation, a new champion.

        2. So translation, someone new in the main event.

        3. So translation, a new match for the PPV.

        4. The champion will no longer be champion. That’s a title change.

        5. So translation, the in-ring debut of a major star.

        6. Translation: it ran 30 minutes.

        7. The fans seemed to like it.

        • Born To Fly says:

          1. If you break it down to its bare bones, yes, a new champion. If Awesome Kong won it last night, then you’re onto something, but I just don’t see a WOMEN’S title change warranting much excitement right now.

          2. The only reason R-Truth is in the main event is because J-Mo is on the outs right now with those who make decisions. If J-Mo hadn’t had that run-in and he was the guy in the PPV, would you feel the same way?

          3. Yes.

          4. I consider a title change when the title is actually, you know, CHANGED from one person to another at the event. Why would the WWE just GIVE the title to Del Rio on Friday? He’d probably have to fight for it.

          5. Sure, it was a debut, but it was an awful one. You gave it a D+.

          6. If a gauntlet match ran anything less than 30 minutes, people would riot. It would be like a Royal Rumble ending in 15.

          7. No comment.
