    I was there…
12yrs old, wcw Fan since 1997 (Sting,DDP & ,Nash where my childhood heroes) – lost interest and faith in the product wcw after the Fingerpoke start 99 and didnt really followed the Programme in 2000… Watched wwf instead, that was clearly redhot at this time…

The Chance to See Sting & Nash, was my Main reason to get Tickets 4 the Millenium final.. didnt expect any quality Matches, they surly dont Deliver at a Euro Tour, when they couldnt do at Nitro or even PPV… Badest booking decisions, crapy storylines and backgroundpolitics yadayadayada, i think everyone know what i mean…

So the Most part of that Event ,was a nice experience for me, BC IT was my First (and to this day Last) Pro Wrestling Event i joined – took a few Photos, get some high five ( fun fact – booker was so sweaty, If u didnt See His Match u could think Hes gone a 60 min Iron man Match xD) , the crowd was mostly silent – so Most wrestlers didnt Look inspired at all.

Sting was advertised as Mainevent to defend His 94 earned european Cup and i believe IT was His Last wcw Match til the Last Nitro ( maybe he Had a Match 1-3 days later in England ,Part of the Tour ?! ).

IT would BE so much better, If they booked Nash vs Sting directly without this crappy Battle Royal and the following qualifier… But Here we are, spend good Money to get some good ol Sting & Nash “Action” ( Sounds gaf :D)

The Match wasnt worth remembering, so my only memory :
I was dissapointed, BC booth didnt break any sweet, crowed sleeped already, at least WE didnt get some bullshit Run in interference ( maybe the wild slapnut could have delivered some wake Up gitarreshot to Break the silence?!)
Sting won, so was expected, thats what the ppl wanna see, but IT would BE much better and worth remembering when booth opponents delivered a decent Match …

So after that Event, i stopped whatching wcw again Til the Last Nitro, stopped whatching Wrestling Til stings Last Match at 2024 aews march PPV and since then, couldnt Stop whatching aew ,BC this ist the Wrestling i prefer without stupid soap opera, good Matches , and im more than Sure If wcw pushed more of the midcard and Cruiser workers, they would BE still Here today… Sadly they will remembered for wasting great Talents and ist a shame , ” that doesnt Work for me Brother” was the strongest Argument to Change so good ideas into bullshit!!

Wcw 96-99 was Overall fun, 99-2001 they gone rapidly down the Road ,even 2001 they Had decent Talent but couldnt Push Them right or give them the shittiest gimmicks (kwee wee, tafkapi/Artist, 70s Guy/ fat (ugly) girl Thriller and many poor Guys more)

There were two different theories about millenium. First one says that first millenium AD (by the way, for those of you who don’t know about it, “millenium” means “1000 years”) begins with 1 AD and ends in 999 AD. So, second millenium ends on December 31st, 1999. Which means, yes, this show is 11 months into the millenium.

Well, second theory says that if a millenium is a 1000 year period, it should end on December 31st, 2000. Which means that there was only a month and a half before the big millenium. Which means that there’s nothing illogical since it was just before the millenium’s ending and it was the final WCW show held in Europe.

Let me know if i’m mistaken.
