I kind of like the PPV for the sets and especially the NWO mystery voice that called the WCW wrestlers losers during their matches. That was pretty funny.
In the end, it was a one of a kind PPV and won’t happen again. The matches sucked, but I kind of liked it.
This PPV would have been awesome if the Miss NWO contestants were actually hot and if the Steiners really had won the belt. Also, the Giant should have won the match and thrashed the entire NWO, but not won the belt.

The main event did make sense as Piper always said he was only having one match in WCW, it was a nWo event so why would Hogan fight Piper who’d just beat him and Giant was demanding a title shot from Hogan as he won World War 3 in 1996.

If wCw did succeed with having an nWo/wCw split shows/ppvs. Would they have done wCw vs nWo or have NWO vs nWo? I have always wondered that.

You know, I’ve read multiple reviews of this show over the years, and your comment (“I’ve seen some people say that this show is recommended because it’s so different.”) was mentioned in almost all of them. To this day, I haven’t seen this show, and after reading each review including this one, I continue to pass on watching this.

It’s certainly not for everyone. Just worth a see for how different it is. It’s said a lot but it’s true.
