EOTY Awards – Worst Wrestler of the Year
Note that I said wrestler, not annoying heel commentator.For lack of anyone better (or is it worse?) I’m going with Otunga. The guy is just worthless, although the lawyer character is FAR better than the A-List guy. This is one of those where there isn’t a clear cut winner so this is widely open for other answers.
Your picks/thoughts?
My pick is Mike Mondo. The few times he was on Ring Of Honor’s TV show, he looked like an awful, roided up mess. He’s also the very rare case of someone not using steroids until AFTER he leaves WWE, whereas when he was in WWE, he was so small and scrawny, he made Jimmy Wang Yang look like Batista.
Runner-up would be Crimson, the guy who can’t even get a reaction from a crowd of freeloaders. And to believe that TNA was actually planning on putting the World title on this guy before common sense prevailed and plans were changed at the last minute.
Yeah Otunga has gotten better.
My vote goes to Gunner.
Otunga’s improved and his current character (which sees him out of the ring more often than not) is fabulous. Matt Hardy would be the winner of this award though Johnny Curtis is rather awful too.
I would say a tie between Jonny Curtis andown Derrick Bateman. They are both boring and draw ZERO reaction from the crowds.
Their problem is that they have been on WWE TV a grand total of 5 times this year. Otunga is a regular character.
I actually really enjoy the Otunga character now. He should be a GM/Manager who occasionally gets in the ring (only to get destroyed).
