Royal Rumble Preview
First and foremost, remember that I likely (as in extremely likely) won’t have a live review up for the Rumble. It’ll probably be later in the week. I’ll get something up on it, if nothing else my thoughts on the winners. On with the preview!I’ll take Bryan to retain. Him losing seems too easy to be reality.
I have a feeling that it’ll be Ziggler getting the title. Monday will either be a swerve or Ace will think he’s fired no matter what and will screw Punk no matter what.
For the Rumble itself……the even money is on Orton but I’m going to pick Punk. No idea how or why, but that’s my instinct.
Any predictions/thoughts?
I think Jericho is the favourite to win. I know Orton has the home crowd but he doesn’t need the win and it’ll be great heel heat to have him lose.
From all the speculation of Ryan having a good showing and maybe one or two debuts, call me crazy but I don’t think 30 men are enough for the Rumble. As everyone can compete, there’s not going to be enough jobbers for those they’re trying to push aka Mason Ryan and maybe a surprise debut.

2. Never said Mason Ryan was a lock to win. Just speculation. Though I fail to see how Mason Ryan winning is such a absurd idea. They can easily have him face Daniel Bryan for the WHC at Wrestlemaina. It worked for the 2005 Royal Rumble Batista that went from mid-carder to main eventer of Wrestlemaina, right?
It worked for Batista becaused he was very hot at the time. He was getting huge reactions and Ryan isn’t.
But I’m going with Jericho to win the Rumble.
Well I don’t know about huge reactions from the crowd. I’d say Batista was getting solid reactions at best before he won the Royal Rumble. Mason Ryan is getting solid reactions as of late during WWE live events. Nonetheless, I think a Royal Rumble win for Mason Ryan would boost his career. Do I think Ryan would win? No but i’m not really against the idea either.
Batista was getting huge pops. Mason Ryan isn’t.
Call me crazy but I think Mason Ryan might win. I’ve been hearing rumors that WWE has special plans with Ryan, renewing his push and they look to make him more dominant at the Rumble match. Jericho is surely a black horse to win though.

2. They don’t need Ryan to win to look strong and build up a push. Having him eliminate half a dozen guys and last a good while would be a high-profile start.
