Did Taz have to retire due to a WWE-related injury or was it build-up from his ECW days?

You know, I like to compare the Outlaws/Dudleyz match to Demolition vs. Strike Force from WrestleMania 4.

Both matches are pretty similar in some respects: the hot new heel team steamrolls the fading babyface team to win the gold.

And this wasn’t even the best match of this feud. The match at Royal Rumble the month before this is one of my favorite matches of all time. HHH was such a great heel back then.

Just rewatched the ppv, some of the spots in the cell could’ve went very badly, like the corner of the cell breaking towards the end, what would’ve happened if HHH had fallen? Also was the ring break planned?

Really good review as it takes me back to watching this ppv, I find the bit about benoit jericho and angle interesting… In your opinion, do you rate Chris Jericho higher than angle? (in all time greatness)

I remember being so hyped for this PPV at the time, beginning with the episode of Sunday Night Heat before it. I MISS these days.

This was my first PPV live. I remember crying on Foley’s walk back up the ramp.

Oh and by the way, Angle is the third person to hold the European and Intercontinental Titles simultaneously, Jeff Jarrett was the second.

Pretty good review but I disagree by what you said about the New Age Outlaws. Yes, they were the top team from 1998-1999 but by Feburary 2000 the tag team division (which actually had legit tag teams) had passed them by and even the bookers knew it was time for a change, so it wasn’t that big of a shock to see the Dudleys get the belts.
