This was One of Cena’s best matches. Still don’t think he should have held onto the title for some long in 2007.

When i read the review for this last time, my jaw dropped (not really, but i had that eyes bugging out look) when i read you only gave Cena vs Umaga a C. Now Im very happy you rewatched it.

Loved Umaga and loved Cena back then. Their feud after New Years Resolution was great stuff. Umaga launching himself and splashing Cena through the table to set up the ribs was tremendous stuff. Umaga had an awesome Military Press into a Samoan Drop. That should’ve been his finishing move.

I remember really enjoying the Cena vs Umaga match and have always been abit of a mark for Umaga. Although I agree giving him the samoan spike was a disaster,
What finisher would you have given him Kb? I always liked Rikishi’s piledriver that he used to hit.

And as for the rumble match the only logic I see in Taker winning over Shawn is just so Taker has a rumble win to his name, and Austin is still the only man to win 3

Any kind of power move. The spike goes against his entire offensive style as it’s not a power move. That piledriver would be ok or just have him use a wicked Samoan Drop. Either would work fine.

Said it before and I will say it again. Blood = awesomeness and is needed in those types of matches. Sells it so good and now they don’t seem to good anymore.

Most fans think blood was just restricted to the ECW/Attitude Era/Ruthless Aggression era’s but WWF and NWA/WCW in the 70’s/80’s/90’s had some pretty bloody matches.
