The other thing was i thought the ic match should have been on the show and not the tag championship. Does anyone else see Big E as a taz clone? A short fat guy that acts tough and can only throw guys over and over lol. Anyways great show. best of the year, just like it’s suppose to be.

Just teeing off on each other with there biggest moves, with a little bit of taunting mixed in. But that sudden end hurt it. I actually felt disapointed when it was over, not because of the result but because i didn’t want it to end. I think what happend was they took too much time building up and they made em go home before they wanted. But i’ll still put it over Taker vs Punk.
The only low to mid card match i really liked was the opener. Randy Orton had some good stuff whenever he was in and you could see how much better he was than everyone else. And btw i’m not a big orton fan at all, But he is a really good wrestler and he deserves to be pushed back up to right below punk and cena.
The only two things that i didn’t like was y2j jobbing to fandango. From what i saw he’s average at best. $100 says he’s in the i’m not over enough to get a mania angle tag match next year. I have no clue why y2j would job to him. I know he’s just there to elavate now, but fandango was disapointing.

i finally go to see this, and i have no clue why anyone would complain about this. The 3 main events were all really good. The story in the HHH v Brock match was terrific. They really made it seem like HHH didn’t have what it takes anymore, and he was in over his head. Every comback he tried brock shut him down. But in the end HHH wanted it more and was able to comback to avenge his family. Great story telling.
I really liked CM Punk V Taker match because i can’t remember a match were a guy lost because the whole match he was too caught up in try to disrespect his oppenent instead of doing what was needed to win. i really liked punk doing taker’s pin pose. I never bought any of the false finishes. It was just a matter of how many tombstone’s it was gonna take, and that hurt the overall quality. So i’ll have to say it was the weakest of the three main events.
I actually liked rock vs cena II more than last year. It did really pick up at the end and i really got into it. It was two of the all time greats

  4. The Killjoy says:

JBL quoted Dusty’s “cluberrin'” line during the 6 Man. Haha.

  5. chris says:

So allegedly rock has walked out. Man that must suck when even one of the wrestlers didn’t think that match was the right call. Can’t blame him for not wanting to get booed loudly. Trying to put cena over with a mega power “yea!” hand shake.

  6. Mike says:

This show felt like a lead in to WM30.

  7. Phoenix says:

Going into this, I wasn’t thrilled about this Wrestlemania as much as I was last year, and the results reflect that. The feeling I get with this year’s was that they played it safe, given WWE is known for pulling off twists and keeping us on the edge of our seats, this is kind of a surprise. The feeling I get (from what I could watch) of Mania is the same as WM16, it was just there and will be forgotten about because nothing changed, nothing surprised us and creative didn’t want to take a risk with things. And this is the problem I have with the product of late, it doesn’t interest me and keep locked in, and this year’s Mania backed up that feeling.

It seems WWE is developing a pattern for Manias of late, odd are lacklustre and forgettable aside from a match or two, while the evens are so much better. I can only hope WMXXX follows this pattern because they need to improve on last night. The show is what you would expect of a lesser PPV, here’s hoping that they can start a fix tonight or at Extreme Rules, but I wouldn’t keep my hopes up.

  8. The Killjoy says:

Sounds like it was a good but dull show. If that makes sense.

  9. chris says:

    Is C more like it?

  10. M.R. says:

    B- is awfully generous.

  11. “reports of REALLY obstructed views for a lot of them.”

Really? That sucks if true. At Mania 28 in Sun Life Stadium, I had to deal with the damn giant palm trees surrounding the ring. They COMPLETELY blocked the left side of the ring from where I was sitting. I watched most of Taker VS HHH and Cena VS Rock on the big screens, because I was tired of getting up, and ducking around other standing fans for a good view during the matches.

  12. Jay H says:

Despite no Heel turn or Cash in I thought Wrestlemania delivered overall. Best Matches being Taker/Punk and Rock/Cena. HHH/Lesnar was entertaining as well. I liked some of the call backs to last year.

  13. Blue Jay-zer(Not Jay wearing a mask to hide his identity) says:

THAT WAS AWESOME! Quite possibly the best wrestling event in history. Even all the recaps had me on the edge of my seat. The P Diddy concert was perfect. I am proud to be a WWE fan, I am proud to be an American and I am proud to be your masked hero!

A+ grade doesn’t even do this show justice

  14. chris says:

B is good A is better. With the talent involved they could of got an A.

    • Thomas Hall says:

Gee thanks for pointing that out to me.

They could have. They did last year. You can’t expect a classic every year. This year’s was fine.

      • chris says:

Always glad to lend a hand:)

If they are going to tell me it’s the greatest night in wrestling the showcase of the immortals. I damn sure can expect a classic.

        • Thomas Hall says:

I’m aware. Then you’ll find somethign to complain about, usually Cena, and try to explain to everyone here that it should be ANYONE else but Cena for reasons that I can’t and don’t care to fathom.

        • chris says:

Keep lumping me in with the haters if you like. Mark Henry won a match by falling on a guy. They can do better than this you know it.

          Have a nice day.

        • chris says:

I’d ask you why you think this is a good show, Triple H, Undertaker, And Cena all went over. No one new was elevated. But then you’d tell me. I don’t need my intelligence insulted anymore than the show already did with it’s pandering.

        • M.R. says:

Yes, because Rock, Punk and Brock are in DIRE need to be ‘elevated’….

  15. chris says:

So even you kb, think they can do better. That this was unacceptable?

  16. jj says:

this was better than last year x10

    • Remy says:

      No. Stahp.

Thank goodness I didn’t cough up the extra ten bucks for HD. If the PPV were a few bucks cheaper I wouldn’t be feeling so ripped off right meow.

  17. Mystery Man says:

I’m glad I didn’t order this cow shit. The ending is a huge “screw you” to the fans.

  18. Mike says:

KB don’t you think it’s cheap that WWE now have to have an “epic” match by kicking out of 4 finishers?

“Epic” matches happen normally but it seems WWE is trying to force epic matches with false finishes.

This event should be called False-Finish-Mania

  19. jglass says:

    Awful Wrestlemania.
Triple H and Brock annd Rock and Cena were boring and the best match was Taker Punk

  20. W.A.R. says:

So, Wrestlemania has come and gone and Cena didn’t turn heel. This is my surprised face.

Overall, I found it to be a decent wrestlemania. Not great but better then I was expecting

  21. chris says:

    What an average show.

The shield match was fine but could have been better.

I don’t know what the hell the point of the mark Henry thing was. I wanted him to win but Why by falling on Ryback?

The tag titles were fine but I wanted Brian to lose so he could go on to better things. Not his odd couple nonsense.

If the point of the Jericho Fandango match was to take him seriously as a threat that’s not what happened here. Did fandango get in 7 moves?

The World title match was fine. I’m sensing a pattern of fine not great, which is not good for wrestlemania.

The Undertaker Punk match was great. Loved seeing Living colour perform, Zombies are always a plus. Match was great only not even C.M. Punk thought Punk would win.

I really wanted to see Lesnar destroy Triple H. Even though he did do that for a lot of the match, I found the ending lacking. 3 or 4 arm locks is a bit much. Also Triple H doesn’t have to retire. I can stop rioting in the streets now.

The WWE Title match was WAY to excessive in the finishers. What was it 6 rock bottoms? Also Cena is champion now …. again for the 4 trillionth time. Yay? What now?

This show didn’t feel epic it just felt Average.

  22. Jordan says:

Cena/Rock was definitely much better last year. Punk/Taker and Brock/HHH were probably as good as they could have been. Undercard was meh and Shield was definitely the highlight. Not a bad show by any means but not very good either.

  23. srch says:

    Johnny Wrestling won!!!

The right man won no doubt about it.

One thing though, both guy’s finishers look so weak that when they start doing false finishers it feels like a battle of whose got the weakest finisher.

If this is it for Rocky semi return to the wwe, there is no doubt the wwe got their money’s worth

  24. PsychoBlack says:

you pretty much hit it spot on here. Everything was good and nothing was great except for maybe HHH/Lesnar. Not really disappointed but Just unfulfilled.
