So Ryback is popular again. Will it last? does anyone think it can? Going against the biggest heel can only bring good things right? I just don’t see how he can maintain it after losing almost every big match he’s had.

That crowd was awesome. Last years was pretty crazy, but this years was on a whole different planet.

  3. Blue Jay-zer(Not Jay wearing a mask to hide his identity) says:

Can I talk now? Gee whiz with all the comments, anyway HOLY SHIT WAS THAT AWESOME! This just proves how great the WWE is! This crowd loved tonight’s show, I love tonight’s show, some guy named Jay(who I think is pretending to be me) loved tonight’s show and by gawd KB loved tonight’s show.

THIS IS WHAT WRESTLING AND WWE IS ALL ABOUT! I WILL NEVER FORGET TONIGHT….NEVER!

What was the point of Miz winning the ic title, just to lose it back the next day?

  5. MikeCheyne says:

That was pretty insane; I give the crowd a pass for the admittedly fun in a bizarre way Sheamus/Orton match because they reacted appropriately to almost everything else (Ziggler cash-in, Ryback heel turn, Jericho run-in, etc.). That said, it was weird to see them almost instantly check out of the Sheamus/Orton match, which wasn’t really that bad and was not an overdone matchup. Sheamus seemed to roll with it, but it seemed to take Orton out of his game.

I will say that Cena for whatever reason is good at interacting with hostile crowds. His really awful promos tend to be in front of crowds that dig him, which leads me to believe he’d be better not even with a heel turn but with crowds that keep him on his toes.

Was the crowd a little indulgent? Yeah, sure, but for the most part it was lively. I was surprised that it shit on the Sheamus/Orton match (they seemed more into the six man jobber match of all things), but what are you going to do? I wouldn’t want to see this every week, but it was really entertaining to me.

  6. Brian says:

On one hand, there were random moments of filler (six-man tag team), but the crowd made almost everything entertaining even during that. You get the crazy crowd mixed with the cash-in, heel turn, and a good deal of set-up for Extreme Rules (probable triple threat, Shield vs. Taker and Hell No, Jericho vs. Fandango II all got some sort of time… probably Del Rio vs. Ziggler as well), I’d call that show a general success.

Raw crowds after Mania are almost always white-hot (Lesnar’s pop last year was crazy, too), so this is no surprise.

  7. Jay H says:

RAW was awesome tonight and that was the Best/Craziest Crowd I have ever seen in my 20 years of watching Wrestling.

  8. before I turn out for the night – I must say this is the most incredible Raw episode I have ever seen.

Right up there with the July Las Vegas episode with CM Punk’s shoot – which I attended live, and twas a WTF moment.

Tonight I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Incredible.

  9. Macios says:

Every Raw after Mania is historic. Tonight will be remembered for the craziest crowd in recent memory.

  10. Mystery Man says:

C+…..??!?!?!? You gotta be shitting me. This was one of the greatest episodes of RAW.

  11. Eric says:

That crowd was disgusting and disrespectful and I say that as a New Yorker who’s used to NY crowds being smarky. This was worse than the Impact Zone in terms of making the show about them rather than the superstars. Terrible.

    • i don’t watch that crap TNA – but I don’t see how you could label a paying crowd disgusting and disrespectful. They basically MADE the show tonight.

Like the Chicago MITB crowd from 2 weeks ago, or the Miami “Yes” crowd from WM last year – this crowd basically WAS the show!

I can guarantee you that Vince and Co will be analyzing this to death and try to figure WTF happened last night.

Last nights crowd = buncha prawn sandwich BS

  12. Mike says:

Any saying the crowd was just cheering for heels need to listen more. Ryback was cheered, Jericho was cheered, Undertaker cheered, Kane cheered, Daniel Bryan cheered ect.

  13. Stormy says:

The crowd was decent and bad at the same time.

They literally sucked the life out of the Orton/Sheamus match. It could have been good but when the fans act like such assholes that both wrestlers are BOTH confused and stop what they’re doing mid-match it’s a shame.

The reason was probably because it was face vs. face and they like to cheer the heels because they’re special. I mean they cheered for Michael Cole for goodness sake, they hate him. While they were at it they should have chanted “we want Cena” as that would make just as much sense.

They redeemed themselves in the Fandango match a bit, as the chants then (and for most of the night) actually made a little sense, but Sheamus/Orton was sabotaged by shitty fans.

  14. chris says:

So the people the fans like. Punk, Ziggler, Lesnar, Savage, Jericho, ECW, Fandango’s theme. The people they don’t Cena, brodus, del rio, Triple H. Will they do anything with this momentum?

  15. chris says:

Yep Definitely don’t want to turn heel for those 50 or so 30 year olds who watch your product. He doesn’t need to turn he is a heel.

It’s Bizaro hogan I love it. It will get so many people over. even a sexual chocolate chant.

  16. Eric says:

I don’t think it’s a heel turn at all. I think it’s just a guy going after the title as everyone should want to do. That said, that guy hasn’t won an important match since Mitt Romney was relevant but what can you do.

  17. M.R. says:

I have a theory on that bizarre six-man tag: Triple H wanted no part of that crowd and postponed his post-Mania promo for Smackdown.

    • funny I thought the same thing.

And you know whats a damn shame – CM punk would have RULED this crowd. Pity, but Punk will be kicking himself for missing this one…

  18. ajrodz says:

what are they fighting over anyway?!?!?!?! the ic title, thats all it needs
