Crazy to think that this was the night of Styles’ last match in TNA. Looking back, things could have been really really different right now if certain decisions weren’t made. Still, it would have been nice to see Styles leave on a much higher note.

My problem with TNA at the moment is this super corporate heel stable means that what little tag team division TNA had is now done for. TNA has done heel vs heel tag feuds well before such as Aries/Roode vs Bad Influence but there’s no chance of full heel feuds now that BroMans, Bad Influence and the potential Spud/Carter team due to EC3’s case are all on the same side.

The only face tag team left thanks to the Gunner/Storm split and Chavo leaving is Young/Park (unless you count Norv and Dewie). And even then I sense a heel turn when Abyss is properly unleashed, Young kept putting Park in bad situations to bring it out and he cared about ODB but not Park when he was assaulted. The turn is coming.

Thus TNA would be forced to turn one of their already naturally heel tag teams face or the tag titles will just be defended against makeshift top face teams like Joe/Angle who will be battling Dixie. Although I’d wager that we’re more than likely mostly get big handicap matches combining two heel teams against let’s say Joe and Angle again, with one of the two challenging Magnus and having to get to him the hard way.

Why did they fully break up the MEM again? Angle, Joe and Sting at least will be on the same side AGAIN. They could just recruit a new member in Magnus’ place. This is just the veteran faces against a heel stable all over again.

I don’t see much good coming from this angle other than a turn from EC3 near the end where he gets pushed as a top face.

Hopefully the shows get better now that the AJ debacle is over and we get fresh batches of TV tapings.
