ECW is now added and you even get the three WWECW PPVs as bonuses.  That’s a nice touch that I didn’t expect but am glad to see.  I’m planning on doing an ECW PPV E-Book in the future and those things are hard to find in complete form.
Greed (the company was out of business two months after Greed aired) and SuperBrawl IV (never heard a concrete reason) were never released on home video by WCW so it’s something nice for people who like completeness to have available for the first time ever.  Starrcade 1983-1986 weren’t PPVs at all but they’re shows you have to put into something like this.
The Big Event and the Wrestling Classic are completely forgotten one off PPVs that didn’t mean anything but are nice additions.  Actually the first Wrestlemania wasn’t a PPV (mostly) but you know that wasn’t getting left out.  The interesting show here is Over the Edge, which was never commercially released and is a hard show to track down.  On a lighter note, I’m very happy that Survivor Series 1989 is there (presumably) in complete form.  The VHS was hacked to death and cuts nearly an hour of match time off the show and I wasn’t shilling out 50 bucks for the Anthology collection.
As has been said since the launch was announced, TAKE MY MONEY NOW.

I’m surprised the are doing Over the Edge, it doesn’t bother me at all its being shown, they didn’t show footage of Owen actually falling and if they did it could always be edited out, I’m just surprised as this was one WWE PPV that never saw the light of day after that night.

They already had my money but now they can have the pin number to my bank account.

I don’t understand what you don’t get. Some people either didn’t care about the whole ordeal. Or they can still separate watching Benoit, from what he did at the end of his life.

    • Rocko says:

I can’t separate them. Benoit killed people. That does bother me. Wrestling was partially responsible (not saying it was WWE’s fault) and every match made him get closer and closer to snapping (and the drugs he did probably didn’t help).

I don’t actually get how you can separate the two. But again I see why some people don’t care. But I just don’t get why it doesn’t bother them.

  3. A King says:

“Wish they didn’t show Over the Edge 99 or any Benoit stuff (haven’t watched a match of his since, yes I know his brain went haywire but its still uncomfortable).”

That’s why we have choices. Face it, Chris Benoit will always be ingraned in wrestling history whether the WWE likes it or not, so they shouldn’t insult our intelligence. If no one wants to see it, fast forward, but don’t make other people’s minds up for them.

    • Rocko says:

Yeah but should people really want to see a murderer in the first place? I am annoyed to have to fast forward through his stuff in the first place. I wish there could be a button to just cut all of his segments out.

I get the view of people who wants his stuff to be uncut. I get why they will leave it uncut. I just don’t see why anyone would want to see his stuff.

Over the Edge I feel though should never be watched. I will never get a viewpoint of someone who wants to watch this PPV.

      • Jay H. (the real one) says:

Over The Edge being shown is fine because its not like they showed Owen falling during the PPV.

I can separate Chris Benoit’s Career from what happend at the end because I try not to think about it.

      • deanerandterry says:

I get why you wouldn’t want to see either but not everyone is like that. Just because Benoit did the one of the worst things a person could ever do but what he did in his personal life and what he did on Television are 2 very different things. I wouldn’t celebrate the guy for what he did in his personal life but a lot of people out there can watch a Benoit match and separate it from his personal life. Just because OJ killed his wife doesn’t mean you won’t see the odd Buffalo Bills game on the NFL Network. OJ like Benoit did some really shitty things but it doesn’t change the fact he was still one of the greatest RB’s of all time and when I watch OJ I’m simply in awe of how good he was.

I can see why watching a Benoit match would make some uncomfortable, I was once in that boat but now I can watch his matches just fine without feeling that way and I can just sit back and enjoy how talented he was, even if the last few days of his life were an utter nightmare.

  4. Ted says:

I would want to watch the beonit stuff because the matches are still fun to watch. Some people can enjoy it. Without endorsing the sick behavior, At the end of his life.

    Top notch list no doubt.

  5. Rocko says:

Wish they didn’t show Over the Edge 99 or any Benoit stuff (haven’t watched a match of his since, yes I know his brain went haywire but its still uncomfortable). I have no idea why anyone would want to watch either of those two but at least there is a lot of other good stuff. This is great for an insomniac like me.

It does kind of bother me that Over the Edge is in it though. Didn’t mean to be a downer, sorry if I was.

  6. Vintage Nick says:

That is quite the jackpot for a launch.

  7. Someone says:

I’ve always wondered why you never did over the edge 99. It will be interesting see if they leave the Owen announcemebt in or not
