Yay a bait and switch On the one match that would have been awesome.

I’d like to see the Ascension come in to feud with The Usos as well, but do you think there’s any chance Cody and Goldust going heel with their new schtick to challenge The Usos instead?

Paige has the most awkward clap of anyone I’ve ever seen.

In a way, though, it does make sense. People are all like, “Oh Y2Jobber’s back to job” and what they did with this win is make Jericho make people go, “WHAT? WHY?” and that’s a good thing because it wipes away the whole “Oh yeah he’s here to job” aspect and makes him look like a truly tough opponent and a challenge for Wyatt. If Jericho continues looking this strong but Wyatt gets the overall upper hand in wins, then he’ll finally be over and all that damage Cena done will be broken. I understand EXACTLY what’s going on. It’s not a typical “Y2Jobber comes back to job” thing, but rather they’re trying to make this feud the well-needed band-aid that Bray needs. This is only the beginning and once Bray wins at SummerSlam and NOC, this loss will be buried and forgotten… but Bray won’t…

It’s more likely Jericho won this round because the next match will be the blow off of the feud. Chris has said he’s here for the summer, then he’s back to his band. That means he’s not going to be here after SummerSlam. That means there’s only 2 PPVs for this to play out on.

In my opinion, winning at Battleground would’ve done nothing for Bray. I honestly didn’t think the match was THAT BAD but yes the ending is questionable; however, this confirms my theory of the feud continuing and it most-likely getting more crazier from here out (Extreme Rules maybe?). Bray will most-likely get a clean win at SummerSlam and then the final match will be one of those “Who could win this?” kind of matches with Bray coming out on top, looking strong. I’ll admit, though, it was awkward, but Bray didn’t look as weak as he had done in previous matches. I think a roll-up pin would’ve been better, though. We’ll see what happens in the upcoming weeks/months.

I’m beginning to feel like WWE’s burying Wyatt. He’s lost three major PPVs and his one win needed inference.

They have until Summerslam to convince me they’re not, but I’m not so sure.

A much better Battleground than last year’s that’s for sure. I liked the Tag,Jericho/Bray (though I was surprised by the finish),the Ambrose/Rollins stuff,Swagger/Rusev,and AJ/Paige was decent. Can’t wait for Cena/Brock at Summerslam which should be awesome.

  8. M.R. says:

Can’t wait for the Brock/Cena rematch, though I doubt they’ll go the same route as last time with Lesnar dominating him which is what made the match so awesome.

  9. J says:

When Jericho loses – everyone screams how stupid it is because he lost credibility. Out of everyone, you should know the big payoff is coming at SS. Jericho will put Bray over like a million bucks.

That being said – agreed that the match was way off. They did not have good chemistry. Also the ending should have been booked differently. Maybe a quick roll up Jericho win instead of clean.

But I definitely know one thing… Jericho will do the job. Absolutely. Guaranteed. Bray lost so much in that Cena feud and it was almost like Jericho came in shining armor to save Bray. He will do the job at SS because Cena has really ruined Bray. That feud w/ Cena killed everything Bray started for himself.

    • Thomas Hall says:

Yeah he will but it should be coming off a loss. Look back at Cena vs. Wyatt for the obvious example. People remember the Wrestlemania match far more than the following matches. Bray winning at Summerslam will help, but this is the first impression we get. Also, it was a clean loss, meaning there’s not much of a non-contrived way to get to a rematch.

Honestly I think you was pretty easy on WWE for this event. 100% a D something whether it is a D-,D or D+.

Tag Match didn’t get going until the last fall. Was good but wouldn’t say an A more like a B.

Summerslam will be very good though.
