” However this gives us a reason for a third match in the Cell because Cena knows he can beat him.”

lol you didn’t realize Lesnar was gonna be part time af

  2. Aeon Mathix says:

Would give Cesaro vs Sheamus a B+ in my opinion. That was a great hard hitting match. Everything else spot on. Thanks for everything you review KB. Probably doesn’t mean a lot but I’m in the military and hardly ever get a chance to view the shows so I appreciate these being up here for when I don’t.

  3. Eric says:

I’m sure not a lot of people noticed but lesnar raised his shoulder right around when rollins hit cena. That image should be enough to see that cena wasn’t 100 percent going to win. I thlught they did a good job with fhe finish in that sense.

  4. Gunther_224 says:

When you say You’d rather see ANYONE else face Lesnar does that include Big Show? Because I’d rather watch Cena vs Lesnar the rest of the year than one moreBig Show/Lesnar match.

  5. Thomas Hall says:

A lack of coherent booking and not pushing him as a huge face when he got so hot.

For me – good wrestling but there was no real passion in the storylines to really make that PPV anything more than a C. I found myself enjoying it, but I was never truly invested in anything but the main event. I think GREAT PPVs and GREAT moments in wrestling come from being invested in a storyline and getting lost in the art of story telling. This PPV had zero storytelling. I actually enjoyed the matches but I found myself wondering what the hell was the reason the feud even started.

The only thing I cannot stand is the embarrassing 80s like wrestling USA vs. Russia. Come on… drop it. If you watch the great shows recently on the WWE Network about the Monday Night Wars, they talk about how the 80s/early 90s almost insulted the fan and that a wrestling fan today didn’t want that content on their television. Mark Henry crying at the national anthem was pathetic. Wow was that hot garbage.

Nonetheless – i just never feel invested and I want to be. There is so much content all week for wrestling yet the stories are lacking. Miz/Ziggler, Cesaro/Sheamus, the tag division, & divas division all could have been great matches tonight w/ a little story telling before. Example Let Cesaro/Sheamus have purpose behind it and build. Shit – send them in a bar on a Smackdown and fight in a bar to share the story that the two just like to brawl. Back stage/bars/in the parking lot – let them brawl all over on 3-4 weeks of television and the payoff happen with that match. It would have meant SO much more.

  7. Jay H. (the real one) says:

Holy shit dude so you claim not to watch the Show yet you call it horrible and the worst thing ever. Also stop telling us what to do since you hate it so damn much and stop watching. All you are doing is coming on here and losing your mind over nothing. Its not life or death.

I thought NOC was a solid PPV with not a bad Match on the night. Anyone complaining about the way Brock/Cena ended should just stop right now. It makes sense if they are setting up for another Match at HIAC.

  8. Ted says:

Dq was weak sauce. I understand the need to run cena lesnar into the ground. But their had to be a better way.

Why would ou not give ceasro the us title? Whose hand did he not shake?

Did jhonny cage really need the ic belt back? I was digging zigglers reign. Oh well hopefully it leads to bigger and better for zigs.

Still a decent show all told.

  9. M.R. says:

I’ve seen many complaints of lapse in logic in the finish but I don’t see anything wrong with it? Rollins got Cena DQ’d so he could end the match and take advantage of a vulnerable Lesnar? You could say, “But Lesnar was the Authority’s handpicked champion,” But who’s to say Rollins was acting on behalf of the Authority? Perhaps, like heels tend to do, he was going into business for himself?

  10. Hubcap Dave says:

Your opinion and $2 will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks……

P.S.: I think you’re lying about not watching the show :-p

  11. F5 says:

Giving that travesty of a main event a B+ is nothing short of insanity. And giving this show a D is being generous. Yet, even further, you say that the ending was “great storytelling”? Because Cena gets yet another rematch? Because Lesnar looked weak? How stupid are you?

You know what makes great storytelling? Cena getting the shit beat out of him once again, getting put down, and putting all this “Cena is a different man” nonsense that we see at least once a year behind us. Lesnar is the bigger draw, he’s actually legitimate, and no one in their right mind would ever buy him putting up any chance in hell against Lesnar in a fight, shoot or fake.

Great storytelling isn’t Cena getting another rematch, or coming back perfectly fine the next night on Raw after his loss and getting dominated. It’s having him take time off and come back ACTUALLY DIFFERENT. It’s having his character change, and his dymanics become different as a result of his loss. Because HE is vulnerable, and because HE isn’t unbeatable like he is ALWAYS presented to be, even when he loses. His booking absolutely ruins the character, and it is the number one thing that has turned people against him. Cena can lose and STILL BE A GREAT CHARACTER, and contrary to popular belief, he can STILL DRAW MONEY.

But no, this has Vince’s senile, decrepit hands all over it. He just couldn’t let Cena look like he wasn’t on someone else’s level. He just had to pretend their other matches never happened, and then, rather than having Cena sell his injuries, come back and bury an up and coming talent to get over(and this is an absolutely perfect case of him using Cena to bury someone and there is no excuse for it). He had to turn it into a “Cena will stay true to himself and overcome the odds” storyline, and he just HAD to repeat his old, time failed adage of trading losses.

This garbage is what has resulted in all of Lesnar’s matches since his return, save his first match against Cena and one as Summerslam, being completely unbelievable. That Lesnar forgets how to fight so he can put on a “story” in a wrestling ring. Lesnar doesn’t need to put on stories. He just needs to use a takedown and beat his opponents into unconsciousness or make them tap out, exactly like he needed to tonight. But instead, we get Lesnar looking weak by hiding from Cena’s punches, getting hit over and over with his finishing move, and looking beat by not only Cena, but also BY ROLLINS. and the ONLY WAY Lesnar kept his title is because CENA SAVED HIM.

This finish was a disgrace, and this PPV was mediocre at best before we saw it. Vince should be forced to step down and his creative team fired, because they CLEARLY cannot think LONG TERM anymore. It’s all about SHORT TERM, THROWING GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD, and overexposing and running EVERYTHING THEY CAN THINK OF INTO THE GROUND. Then whenever a top star rises they feed him to Cena and then they have the losses continue until he’s back in obscurity, or in the case of CM Punk, never even let him main event. And this is all ON VINCE.

But I’m sure you’ll pretend that them making this much money or that much is a positive, and yada yada yada. But my figures are much more telling:

Lower Ratings, in line when they nearly went bankrupt in the early-mid ninetys
LOSING MONEY NONSTOP as a result of the network and inhability to put out a good product
And more importantly, $750,000,000! The amount of Net Worth Vince McMahon lost when his show, which has been awful for years with him STILL in charge, got a lesser deal, after he blatantly LIED to investors about it getting a certain amount. And the only other defense you can use is that he’s lost his mind, which is further proof that he needs to step down, or at least be FORCED to. Even that self loving idiot in Paul Levesque whose too busy posing in magazines with his wife and introducing face celebrities to be a good heel would run the company better than him, or Pat Patterson, the child molesting, sexual abusing, rapist who should’ve been in prison decades ago(Ask Roddy Piper or a ton of their former employees).

You’ve been writing lazy, half-assed, and frankly, ABSURD reviews for a while. But this is pathetic, even for you, Tom. Maybe you should go the same way as Vince, since you both seem to have the same awful taste, opinions, and ridiculous ability to kiss WWE’s ass no matter HOW AWFUL the program they put out is(which lately, is close to TNA levels of bad).

    • Hubcap Dave says:

Are you posting under a new name James Gracie?

    • whosnext98 says:

You know, you’ll have a hard time finding someone more critical of the WWF/E and Vince McMahon than me. That being said, your profanity laced diatribe directed at Klunder is beyond uncalled for and quite frankly insulting to anybody with more than two brain cells to rub together. Seriously dude: Take a valium and get a life.

      • Thomas Hall says:

Save yourself the trouble. This guy is quicksand and doesn’t want logic or common sense. He got run off the forums already and this is the only place he thinks people will listen to his babbling. I don’t even read his comments anymore.

        • whosnext98 says:

Good to know. I read that and my blood pressure shot up.

        • F5 says:

And yet he replied to someone whom replied to mine.

Save yourself the excuses. The reason you don’t respond directly to me(when I very rarely comment since I have better things to do), is because you’re simply incapable of refuting my points.

Logic and reasoning are sourced by facts, which I gave, whereas your “reviews” are sourced by pure opinion, and a blind biased toward WWE. And I’m not a bitter WCW fan, or TNA fan(which is clear by what I said), but when I’m forcefed shit on a weekly basis, then I have every right to be angry when I see a glimmer or hope and sanity in the bunch and then they ROYALLY mess it up, and then you launch an all out assault on reason and say that rather than it being “bs” it is “[sic]great storytelling”. It is nothing of the sort, and reveals how out of touch you are as well as how far away you’ve meandered from reality on your odyssey of idiocy.

That should be the title of your next book, actually. And it should be an autobiography.

Truth is treason in the empire of lies. Stupidity is the currency. And your wealth is more abundant than King Midas’.

  12. Hubcap Dave says:

I’d give it a higher grade myself, in the b to b+ range. I probably easier to please than the average fan, though.

As for Mark Henry, you got to admire a man who cries during the playing of the National Anthem.

  13. Steve says:

Yeah, I wasn’t the only one to notice this was a C+ grade. It was a far cry from Summerslam, but it was still mildly enjoyable. I called it when I said it was better than MITB and Battleground, but not as good as Summerslam.

  14. The Wolf says:

Brock should kill Cena in the Cell in my opinion and let Cena take a break for months. I’ll quit watching if Cena beats Lesnar there.
