Its not fresh, they feuded in NXT but I understand Zayne has a following. I am just not one of them….I would rather see Kevin Owens feud with someone new. But again I am usually in the minority……(I thought a heel Jericho should have won Money In the Bank)

      Zayn.

I wouldn’t count NXT feuds. Main roster is different.

I highly disagree on wanting Jericho to win MITB. I love Jericho but I have no idea how Jericho winning would help anyone (the company, other wrestlers, literally anyone).

I think the triple threat at Battleground makes sense because with the upcoming draft, you know all three might not be on the same show and since the draft is before Summerslam, it wouldn’t make sense to have say Raws Roman vs Smackdowns Seth and Dean for example.

I see both sides of the argument on the shield triple threat. It deserves a WM or SS stage but it also elevates a show to mean something. I feel like they aren’t holding back and are just gonna through all their ideas before the brand split. Zayn v Owens in a big gimmick blow off match, Cena v Styles II, Wyatts return to face New Day for the tag titles, Sasha v Charlotte, Shield Triple threat. That feels like a big deal show and every month should feel like a big deal show.

What do you think are the chances we get a screwy finish involving the Authority for the Shield triple threat?

    • Thomas Hall says:

Yeah there’s a good chance they’ll do something like that and then do the big rematch of it at a bigger stage.

    Battleground card may be great
Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
Charlotte vs Sasha Banks (WWE Women’s Championship)
New Day vs The Wyatts (WWE Tag Team Championship)
Rusev vs Titus O’Neil (US Championship)
The Miz vs Cesaro (IC Championship)
The Club vs John Cena & his 2 partners (I prefer Enzo & Cass as Cena’s partner)
Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens (Street Fight or Fall Count Anywhere)
    Becky Lynch vs Natalya

Perhaps Apollo Crews, Baron Corbin may have their own match

I enjoyed this show with only three minor things bugging me:

    1) The announcers acting like Reigns vs Rollins didn’t just happen the night before, like they were seeing it for the first time…and Cole calling the Dirty Deeds a Pedigree.

    2) Sasha Banks’ return is the EXACT same thing that happened at the Royal Rumble.

    3) Does the Zayne/Owens feud really need to continue? See Corbin/Ziggler and Rusev/Titus.

And btw how great were Styles/Club/Cena with their promo tonite….

Seeing as WWE have moved away from the PPV model I don’t see the problem with them doing the triple threat at Battleground. People are going to subscribe for SummerSlam anyway, might as well try and get some more people to jump on board by offering the Shield triple threat now. Try the free month for Battleground and stick around since SummerSlam is next.

    • Jay H (the real one) says:

Yeah I agree and as much as I wanted to see the 3 of them on a bigger stage like Summerslam I am ok with them fighting next month. I would assume they have something else in mind for August which includes Brock Lesnar either against Roman Reigns or maybe he faces Randy Orton who is due back at any point now.

Overall a good Show with Sasha back,The Wyatts back,Cena/AJ killing it on the mic again,a good Main Event too.

      • Ted says:

Great way to waste your summerslam main event. So what’s on tap for summer slam lesnar reigns? Yawn.

        • Jay H (the real one) says:

Well how about we wait and find out what happens. We have the Draft between now and then you know. I know waiting isn’t a virtue for most fans these days but its an idea at least.
