The length of the cruiserweights match did hurt it but there are other things as well. For example Cedric Alexander did a handspring flip into the ropes and then kicked one of his opponents in the head right after. The handspring spot was not needed when realistically he could have just kicked him in the head. These types of spots are what make wrestling so unrealistic to the casuals. Now don’t get me wrong. I respect their athletic ability but when they execute an awe inspiring move for the sake of a spot it takes some of the realism away and creates many eye rolling moments. They need to mix it up a bit instead of having a 10 minute choreographed spotfest.

Why is the Brian Kendrick finisher now called the captains hook?

Rusev and KO are such great guys. They could of just let Rollins crash and burn but instead stood there to catch him. True heroes.

I think I’ve figured out what this ‘brand’ split is meant to accomplish. Kill Raw ratings and move the main show to Smackdown on Tuesdays so they don’t have to compete with MNF anymore for half the year. Perfect logic.

I totally agree, I think that the cruiserweight match shouldn’t have went past that commercial break. I still think this draft was a terrible idea and its kinda showing, but Clash of the Champions should be a solid show.

So help me out here on the time issue for the CW Match. The time left in the Show or the time it got as a Match. If its the time the Match got I see no issue because it got 15 MINUTES. Im not understanding your issue on that if that’s what it is.

That’s too long for a cruiserweight match, especially the kind they were going for. Those work best if you’re flying all over the place, not having to lay around and rest to fill in time.

      • Jay H (the real one) says:

I didn’t think they were laying around, I thought they kept it moving. Im just not understanding your issue with the time because WCW let them go out there for the same amount and it worked with a few highspots which is what we got here. I’d rather them get a decent amount of it and not do what TNA is doing with the X-Division these days. No offense KB I enjoy your reviews but you have some of the weirdest nitpicks.

I feel legitimately worried for the new Cruiserweight division, specifically because it’s on Raw and it’s clear whoever’s responsible for all the shitting booking decisions(probably a combination of Vince, Steph, and Kevin Dunn) are all on Raw. Oh yes, Smackdown is not perfect, but you have to admit the booking is so much better.
