Smackdown has always been the WWE writers room’s creative salvage yard when left to its own devices. You just don’t see fun ideas like Dashing Cody Rhodes transforming into Disfigured Cody Rhodes like comic book supervillian or Mark Henry finally figure out the perfect mix of anger and regret at wasted potential and turning it the secret best set of promos from 2011 in a year full of great promos, on Raw. Smackdown also gave Christian a chance and he delivered in his world title feud with Orton. Basically all of 2011 Smackdown was amazing and should be remembered. Great article KB.
