Woah a C for the main event? That’s way too low. It’s at least a B and probably leaning towards a B+.

I feel you are a little harsh on Shane McMahon. They guy works hard, gets a great reaction, and makes other guys look good. Its only his 2nd match this year and it was far from terrible. I will agree it could have been cut down in length. But a feud featuring him adds something fresh instead of KO battling Sami, Styles, ect….over and over again.

I’m surprised you didn’t hit on the pop up botch on top of the cell.

Other than Jindar retaining I thought HIAC was a good PPV. I thought both Cell Matches delivered and im looking forward to hearing what Sami Zayn has to say on Tuesday.

Nakamura and Roode were huge deals (and rightfully so) in NXT, but on Smackdown they’re barely being used better than The Ascension. I realize that’s an over exaggeration, but it continues a bothersome trend of NXT talents being mishandled upon their call-ups since the “Takeover Era” has taken place. KO and Samoa Joe have sadly been the exception and not the rule.

For the actual PPV, the opening match was one of the best HIAC matches in years. The triple threat was very good also, though you could permanent marker in Corbin pinning Dillinger once he was added. Shane/KO was the spectacle we know it would be. The Zayn turn, while not totally out of left field, was still a bit of a shock.

Minus my issues with how Roode and Nakamura were, I thought the PPV slightly overachieved on the expectations that many had for it.

sound logic except for the fact that you know he let shane jump off the freaking thing and moved owens at the last second. he couldnt have moved owens before he jumped?

You call that a heel turn? Clearly Sami thought Shane had gone too far, Shane had the match won several minutes earlier when he knocked Kevin off the cell but instead of winning the match, hugging his kids and being their hero he continued on with his McMahon styled vengeance putting both him and Kevin’s lives at risk.

Sami clearly wanted the match to stop but got out too late to stop Shane but was able to rescue Kevin. Since Shane took that fall it would be irresponsible to physically move him over Kevin and he couldn’t just let it continue or else Kevin would hurt Shane more so he shoved Kevin on Shane as it was the quickest and safest way to stop the madness.

Sami was looking out for Shane and Kevin he just got out too late to stop Shane.
