Well That Changed Everything

So I go to dinner with the in-laws and apparently the wrestling world just went nuts.

Due to a bad viral infection, Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt will be off the pay per view with Kurt Angle and AJ Styles appearing as his replacements. I mean….wow indeed. Styles replacing Wyatt to face Finn Balor is fine, albeit a bit annoying as we’re likely to see Wyatt vs. Balor again later. That was the second biggest match on the card and having Styles on a show never hurt a thing.

Then you have the Shield reunion being ruined and….sweet goodness this is a big deal. The Shield was the entire focus of this show and now that’s been thrown out the window. This is a heck of a change of plans and there’s only so much you can do when your top story is out the window. Angle is a very surprise replacement but I’m not sure if having him in a TLC match is a good idea. Hopefully he’ll be safe (not likely given his high level of insanity) but this is quite the surprise.

Overall, I have no idea how well this is going to go. It’s something that can change every now and then and they only have so many options when you have a rash of illnesses like this. Hopefully the show winds up being ok but what does it say when the replacements make the show that much more entertaining?

i’m not even sure why you all waste time commenting on anything KB related. Dude doesn’t reply to anything longer than like two sentences and when he does it’s like one word answers. His wrestling questions thread has become an utter joke because of it.

Well how would you like me to respond? WHen someone asks me “hey, what’s a match you like with this person involved”, how much more in depth would you like me to go? I write full on reviews already. How much more detail do you need in a comment?

      • Alex says:

Just more discussion with people on here. i see people type out novels and you never even say anything. Or i have seen in your wrestling questions thread that some took time to write out multiple paragraphs either asking a question or wanting to have a discussion and you either A. don’t reply at all, B. say something like “indeed” or “i could go for that”.

        • Thomas Hall says:

I can get that, but sometimes there’s just nothing else to say. If it’s “do you like this”, what else am I supposed to say? On here, there are too many comments to answer one after another. If someone is just saying they like something etc., there’s really not much that I can add unless I think they’re completely wrong, which is rarely the case.

You just commented. “Now let that sink in for a minute.” – KB

Have I reached the point where I have obvious catchphrases?

Wait that’s only one sentence. Uh…..oh yeah: the 5000th review should be up this week.

Would have much rathered Angle in the match with Finn and have AJ replace Reigns. Honestly I didn’t expect Angle to pass the WWE’s physical, and now that he has I seriously question its’ merit.

    • Jay H (the real one) says:

Well if he’s good to go then I don’t see what there is to question. I doubt if he wasn’t then they wouldn’t have put him in there. With The Shield reunion on hold they had to come up with something else big and here it is.

      • M.R. says:

Him being deemed “good to go” is the part I’m questioning.. You aren’t too bright.

        • Greg says:

Him getting cleared seemed more a matter of trust he won’t use painkillers rather than anything physical.

        • M.R. says:

Or the fact that he’s had a dozen neck surgeries..

        • Greg says:

Meh. Businesses are usually interested in not being sued so I would be shocked if they cleared Angle despite being worried about his neck.

        • Jay H (the real one) says:

Seeing as how he’s cleaned up his act since before he came back but yeah let’s assume it’s more about will he use pain killers again over him being cleared to compete again.

I suspect Angle was gearing up for Survivor Series. With the amount of heat on companies like WWE in terms of protecting talent, I think that’s the only way Kurt got into this match. He was already being checked out for that PPV, everything was good and they put him in now.

I’m dosappointed something like Styles v Balor is being wasted like this, but maybe we’ll get something with the Club?

And Angle’s return match deserved more than 2 days notice…but this did make the difference between me reading your review, and watching the show.
