I gotta say I was rather impressed with Moon’s selling. She may not be on the same level yet as other NXT women champions yet but her emotions and her selling alone made that finish sequence as good as it was.

Dream is an exceptional talent. He lives that Velveteen Dream-character, no, he IS the Velveteen Dream. That’s something that made guys like Steve Austin or The Rock the mega stars they were. I also love his basic, heavy 80s and 90s influenced style. In 2018 it’s that much more refreshing if nearly everyone does his flips and kicks. If they treat him well he will be the next big thing on the main roster. But yeah, i also have the strong feeling they will mess him up on RAW. They will probably turn him face and force him into These usual dumb comedy pieces that WWE loves so much…

All in all an outstanding show. If the first two matches would’ve been more than filler this might be the best “Takeover” ever.

What do you mean Ember Moon needs to get better? Heck of a Show especially Almas/Gargano and Adam Cole/Aliester Black, I laughed out loud when Mauro said Holy Bleep. I thought for sure Johnny was going win the NXT Title.

I also liked Paul Heyman doing the opening video, nice touch with the weekend being in Philly.

That’s the first A+ I’ve seen for WWE in a long time, and it was well-deserved. Gargano/Almas just have that chemistry that works no matter what. Gargano/Ciampa, Black/Almas are enough to make TakeOver: New Orleans a top show, but it will be nice to see how they fill out the card with the new signings, the DEEP tag division, and a brand new women’s division…

Gargano and Almas put on a show all to themselves. That’s a 5 star match and MOTY if I have ever seen one. Makes me wonder if Almas is gonna survive Black in New Orleans just so he can finally give Johnny the win back for the belt. Smartest thing is to probably string this Gargano story out longer. Have him feud with Ciampa and lose the first few but then come back and win the blow off and come back and beat Almas to finish that chapter in the story and then finally face off against Black or Ricochet or whoever and win the title.

I woke up this morning and watched a classic between Minoru Suzuki and Hiroshi Tanahashi from NJPW New Beginning in Sapporo and I thought it might have stolen the thunder of Omega v Jericho for MOTY but nope it’s Gargano v Almas hands down. This year is gonna be awesome.
