I remember the build up to the biker chain match and I was thinking to myself, “Why not just make it a street fight?”

Or at least a match where you can explain the rules ten days before the show.

        It also didn’t help that:

a.) It ended up being a “on a pole” match, at match type that I don’t recall ever being good. I understand that getting hit by a biker chain would crack your skull, but is it really any more effective than an good old fashioned chair/belt shot?

b.) The match itself was an overbooked mess with an anti-climatic finish.

The only good that came from this is that it led to the Taker/Vince feud that culminated with a solid match at Survivor Series that led to the return of Dead Man Taker.
