Riott losing twice in a row, and only putting up a fight when her cronies are there, did not need to happen. Dana Brooke was talking about proving herself. Let her get squashed in Ruby’s place.

    Cole called Black “moody.” Seriously?

I know the reunion has been teased for DIY, but anyone who does watch NXT has to be just as perplexed as I am. That story was not over, and won’t get a proper ending, because there’s no way to buy them having a blood feud in NXT, and going for the tag titles on the main roster.

  2. Tin says:

I recommend not making excuses and not trying to side step that fact with a snarky reply either……..and go and watch the weekly hour that is NXT, or watch it more than you do if dabbling is your thing. Because NXT is the best thing on WWE television right now. They are what professional wrestling in America should be on the grander stage of the main roster.

If you can’t get into NXT, and you’re more and more turned off or only mildly care about the main roster and nothing else….then your heart isn’t in it anymore and don’t really have room to criticize the product, or worse yet, defend something over NXT.

There is a reason main roster wrestlers WANT to go back to NXT and wrestle the talent at Full Sail.

But you all possibly won’t have to wait much longer as NXT may be coming to network television once the Fox deal officially starts later this year.

When it comes to fans and casuals not watching NXT, Daniel Bryan said it best:

    Fickle. Fickle. Fickle. Fickle.

    • Prophet says:

Yeah, how dare those casuals not put in a sixth hour of WWE programming during their week.

    • Greg says:

I’m not criticizing NXT. I’m criticizing WWE for thinking everyone watches it. They don’t. Introduce these people first. Show promos. Show their character. Then debut them. Even if everyone did watch NXT (and they don’t), this would still be a good refresher.

I bet way more people would rather stay on the main roster than go back to NXT.

      • Liam Fenech says:

A few years ago a Monday Night Raw script leaked online 1 of the Golden Rules? NEVER ASUME PEOPLE WATCH RAW EVERY WEEK! So why asume everyone watches NXT?

        • Dmxfury says:

Some of the expectations and replies of a few select people. So out of touch. Build characters up and introduce them, the masses would appreciate and respond better

  3. Jay H says:

Raw being pretty good aside i have to say that Lafayette crowd was awful. Not reacting to the NXT people they barley reacted to anything else. I’ll be there next Monday and i think us here in Atlanta should be far more louder.

    • Greg says:

Not everyone watches NXT. I have no idea why WWE thinks they don’t need to build to debuts anymore. Give them a few weeks of hype so the masses can at least have an idea of who they are.

      • Jay H says:

That not everyone watches NXT excuse is ridiculous when there’s a thing called the WWE Network that air their weekly TV and bi-monthly specials during Big 4 PPV weekends.

        • Greg says:

It’s not ridiculous. Not every WWE fan has the Network. Not everyone who does watches NXT.

I rarely watch NXT. I have no idea what Ricochet’s character is. High flying dude? Black is an emo. Ciampa I know. Gargano I sort of know but didn’t follow his story arc completely.

WWE cannot assume that everyone watches NXT and follows everyone’s story arc. They don’t.

          • Thomas Hall says:

True. You can’t just act like everyone watches everything. It’s not on them to do homework.

          • Prophet says:

            Bring back the Raw Rebound!

          • Jay H says:

I think it is ridiculous. Even if you don’t follow every single promotion out there but follow WWE you should have some idea who these people are. Plus i don’t see after almost going on 5 years this month not everyone has The Network they must be the cheapest people in the world.

          • Thomas Hall says:

The fans aren’t required to do anything other than watch the show. As soon as you ask them to do something else or watch something else or research something else, it stops making sense.

          • Greg says:

Rent, loans, other entertainment options, bills. That adds up quick. People who live paycheck to paycheck exist. I’m lucky that I’m not one of them but not everyone can just afford stuff like the Network.

Casual fans of WWE exist. I have a friend who watches Raw/SD but couldn’t give two shits about the Network.

NXT can apparently be awesome but it’s still the minor leagues. It’s on a subscription based service. That’s going to limit the audience. Not even everyone who watches Raw watches SD.

Time is also a factor. WWE has a ton of programming. I simply don’t have the time to watch NXT, SD, Raw, 205 Live, PPVs and Takeovers. Work, going out and other entertainment options limit my time. I barely watch Raw/SD. I watch parts, KB fills in the gaps and I’m good to go.

Don’t blame the fans for this. Blame WWE for not showing who these people are before putting them out there. As KB said, it’s not on the fans to do HW.

          • Jay H says:

Well then if they are too lazy to find out who they are then they aren’t fans in the first place. WWE does show who they are on their own Network since they started airing NXT every week on it.

          • Greg says:

This is a great view if you want to alienate a large portion of the fan base. You’re pretty much telling every casual fan to screw off. Telling any fan with not enough time to watch everything to screw off. Telling everyone that if they don’t watch each show, every single week, to screw off. Not a good way to get new fans.

It’s not the laziness of fans. It’s the laziness of WWE.

          • Jay H says:

No i am telling fans to do their homework and know who these guys are by watching NXT. So yes it is laziness on their part not WWE’s.

          • Greg says:

I really don’t understand why you think that’s acceptable. I really, really don’t. That’s not a good business model. That’s insulting. You’re punishing people who want to watch your product.

          • Jay H says:

Because how else is anyone going to find out who these people are? Why wouldn’t you want to know who they are and where they’ve been before they signed? That’s what i am not understanding here in your argument. It’s not that hard to do so if you ask me.

          • Thomas Hall says:

WWE needed to tell them. It’s really not that hard.

  4. Gay H (the real one) says:

I thought the wrestlers looked good tonight. Real good. Staumon looked good. Ambrose looked good. MccIntyre looked good. I was pleased with them all tonight. Very easy on the eyes. I did not like the way any of the female wrestlers looked though. But we all have our preferences.

  5. Jack-Hammer says:

What does Vince have against continuity? Is his attention span really that short? No wonder he and Donald Trump get along so well.

Ignoring the tension between Ciampa & Gargano and putting them together as a team while everything is going on in NXT and then having them go over the Revival…I dunno man…It was a good match but why not just do this with Gable & Roode instead of jobbing out the tag champs a week after they win the title?

Then there’s whatever’s going on with Dean Ambrose. If he’s leaving, I just wish WWE would have him sit out the rest of his contract than put him in these random settings where he switches between heel and face, depending on the circumstances.

I’ve pretty much lost all faith in Vince when it comes to any sort of consistency regarding booking decisions, character and storyline directions. It’s like he simply doesn’t feel these things matter.

    • Jay H says:

You must not be watching NXT weekly. They’ve been teasing a reunion for weeks now including when Ciampa helped Johnny win the Cage Match with Aliester Black. Followed by them standing side by side at the end of Takeover Phoenix with their Titles and teaming up on Halftime Heat.
