King Kong Bundy Passes Away At 61

That one came out of nowhere.  Bundy was someone who went a lot further than he probably should have, as he was little more than a giant with a splash as a finisher.  Somehow that got him all the way to the main event of a Wrestlemania and a career revival in the 1990s.  He’s the definition of someone who went a long way on one match and that’s a lesson that a lot of people can learn from on the independent circuit.

    R.I.P.

I’ve never seen any of his matches, but he had a successful career. I wish they would’ve inducted him into the HOF before he passed, but often times there’s no way to know.

I am currently watching all 1987 programming on the network and Bundy along with One Man Gang were treated as a big deal. The fans definitely reacted when he came out and he made an impact with most storylines Bobby Heenan was involved in. I was a fan and wish he had a stronger run in 94….RIP big guy.

I just watched WM 2 for the first time last week including the Cage Match with him and Hogan which is one of the saving graces of that one. I didn’t see his initial run in the Company but i remember when he came back in late 1994/early 1995. RIP King Kong Bundy.
