Eve Torres was in the battle royal?

Lesnar and Rollins going that way was brilliant. Reminded me of Orlando Jordan vs Benoit from SUMMERSLAM all those years ago. Quick title change and one everyone wanted. Show was fired up from the get go and fans think they can’t miss a thing after that point.

“The idea of Kurt Angle losing to Baron Corbin in his last match is a failure. Not because it’s Angle last match. Not because the match wasn’t good. Not because WHY? But because we now have to deal with more Baron Corbin on Raw as more fans’ heads explode as we try to figure out what WWE sees in him.”

Heels are supposed to get heat. Not Corbin’s fault that today’s shitty fans don’t want to admit to being worked so they put the heat on the booking instead

    Well written review KB but……
    1) The reaction to the main event finish was deader then Kelsey’s nuts with some of the crowd already gone. Being 5 hours in to the main card, I am not surprised this happened. Kofi vs Bryan should have been last.
    2) It is a disgrace that Kurt Angle has to go out like that. I agree with you there.
    3) I do however disagree with your evaluation of Shane/Miz and HHH/Batista. These two matches got the strongest reaction at my Mania party the no holds barred match was violent and disturbing and Batista popping up after the sledgehammer shot was more a reaction then not selling.
    4) Shane didn’t beat Miz. He got lucky with the way he landed. It does not come off as him beating a wrestler. Miz got carried away with his revenge and it got the best of him. These two worked hard and deserve the respect.
    5) The Lesnar squash was stupid, at least it wasn’t a totally clean pin.
    6) Overall a good show but too long (and I like long shows)they would be better off having 2 different shows.

      1. Yeah that Kofi win drained the crowd and nothing was coming close to it. Also the ending coming so out of nowhere didn’t help as there was no building it up. Oh and that it was pushing 12:30 might have had something to do with it.

      2. Yep. After everything he’s done, that’s what they do?

      3. He was hit in the head with a jumping sledgehammer shot. The most likely reaction to that is a cracked skull, not popping to your feet.

      4. Shane won. That’s all I need to know from the thing.

      5. How was it stupid?

      6. No no, no no no, no no. You give them two shows and you’re looking at 15 hours of Wrestlemania within a year at most. The LAST thing they need to do is split it up because WWE would just make two mega shows.

Top half of WM for sure but that’s about it for me. Kofi moment was amazing, great emotion and hindsight would’ve been perfect to end the show. Women’s match was good, but not spectacular and felt like a letdown since the hype was so high. Also can the Wwe please turn down the mics near the ring? I don’t need to hear the wrestlers count down to the spots. Odd ending, not sure if there was an injury or what. Corbin is horrific and it sucks that Angle couldn’t give the rub to someone who could run with it or have a moment (I.e. Cena came out to fight him). Shane winning..? Really? Brock needed to lose the belt but damn if that didn’t feel like a letdown for how big a moment that could have been. Maybe that opportunity had passed and everyone just needed to move on

Internet already with them conspiracy theories.

I do find it funny the idea that McMahon would allow his main event of Mania to be botched and not do anything when they have a clear replay of Rousey’s shoulders being up at a count of 2. This is the same guy who tore quads in both legs to restart a Rumble. If that wasn’t the finish than McMahon would’ve fixed it.

  7. Dmxfury says:

Giving the main event a B and Shane vs miz a C- amazing what grading the divas on a curve does

I didn’t like the pacing of this, they did Lesnar/Rollins at the start of the night which is what I was looking forward to the most and after Bryan/Kofi it was just a bunch of matches I didn’t care about to get to the women’s main event that the crowds dead for. For me it felt like they did all the big stuff at the start and there was too much deadtime in between Bryan/Kofi and the main event.

Pretty awesome we got 3 happy endings which i know some people said wouldn’t happen. Definitely a top notch Mania for sure.

  10. CamPopplestone says:

I enjoyed HHH/Batista more than you. I thought it would be absolutely terrible, and I ended up having lots of fun. Batista looked way better than I expected

  11. SamualDude says:

Apparently the finish was botched. It was supposed to be Becky making Charlotte tap but the ref did the 3 count.
