You say you liked All In better, but gave it a B rating, while this show gets an A-?

“Cody’s weight belt says Attitude Killer because we need to get that in there too.” I feel like you’re missing a pretty significant part of Cody here. Since he was Stardust he was mentioning in promos that the attitude era was the bane of his career (cut the fat/old men talking, young men dying promo) and even sometimes implied the Stardust character was an emotional plea to fans to accept him if he mimicked the era.

He’s been doing this a while and it’s not anything new. I wouldn’t consider this some kind of shot. Rather I would see it as completely in line with his character.

A pretty good show all around with not much to complain about and one Instant Classic in the Rhodes-match – i expected nothing and was blown away despite not really likeing both competitors much. The blood really helped to increase the intensity, kudos to that!

Luchas/Bucks was the second best match for me even if they can do better.

The Main Event was solid but it was impossible to top the two matches before.

The rest was not that important but the action was solid and they kind of lived up to their saying of the importance of Tag Team-Wrestling.

I also liked that they seem to push guys like Adam Page & MJF straight out of the gate cause these guys could and should be the future of the company when Jericho is gone and Cody or Omega are stepping back in a few years. MJF is pretty much the “winner” of the night cause most people probably didn’t know him and now he gets much praise for his mic-work.

The commentary was pretty much all Excalibur and with the good work he did in PWG he really deserves this big stage. I’m with you that JR sounded motivated but I don’t know if he fits with Excalibur. The third guy pretty much sucked ass. They should go with Excalibur as the play-by-play guy and some sort of color commentator whoever that could be…

I liked the presentation with the short videos, the camera work was to the point most of the time and the commentators Talking about the upcoming stuff is a nice nostalgic move. Overall i liked the natural flow more than the average flow of a WWE show who seem to be all the same. But they have some work to do with their audio, especially the Music and the theme Songs. That’s were WWE delivers for years and years and not much coming close.

If they are able to write intriguing stories and are willing to push other guys besides “The Elite” they really could deliver the goods! I would dig the “PWG-Quality Wrestling meets storylines”-style they could go for..

Ambrose in AEW? This wildcard rule is ridiculous

so HHH is in Codys head bad move by him Why did he need to do it? The best way to do it is send a message by not refranceing the opassion by caring he’s showing that he is worried about WWE When he should just focus on his own bissness rather then bait the oponet.

Agree on the Main Event rating but Cody vs Goldust was better than a B+ honesty

Got to see a good bit of it even though the stream i was watching on was not very good.

That entrance with Cody just annoyed me to no end though. I guess HHH is living rent free in his head and if he claims that AEW aren’t War with WWE then prove it.

I would have liked to seen the battle royal as part of the main card since the winner gets to vie to be the inaugural AEW Champion. The women’s six-man did nothing for me. I loved everything else on the card. Moxley’s debut was perfect. I’m excited for their weekly show after Double or Nothing.

Man that show was refreshing. Almost nxt like.
