Never forget. One of the most detailed and well told stories in WWE ended because one guy didn’t have basic sportswear.

So your problem was them getting the balance of the Show? I mean seeing as how they were going to probably finish it last year in New York and couldn’t. Me personally i liked the way it was done and seemed like a fitting end to their feud.

Herein lies the problem with NXT and wrestling in general. Repetition is commonplace in every market. No matter what you are selling somebody will sell you something and once that gets over they will try to make it bigger.
I have mentioned before that comics and wrestling are like first cousins to each other. Both have passionate fan bases that invest in the product because the creators of the content make you invest in something and feel something that in reality is not there.
As I have mentioned before I have been a fan for over 35 years. I have watched wrestling when it’s a boom and also a bust I wish I could say forget about it and just grow apart from it but like KB and others have touched on, wrestling has brought me out of some tough periods in my life
There is no one to blame for the match that happened It’s horse racing season (or it would have been soon) So? What do you do now.? Do you put joe Taylor and Mikey Morris in a 40 minute match right when they are out of college just because they grew up together. No! That’s not fair to them or fair to the audience that’s watching so you put your best horses out to run that race
Wait though there was a time in 1993/94 where seeds of a brother vs brother rivalry was developing. They were brothers they both wanted to be the best that was in their DNA That was in their blood. The Hart brothers made you believe that they hated each other, but they wanted to be number one in their family not go out and straight up end each other
Given Owens passing, I apologize for the wording of that last sentence Wrestling was just different back then as it is now. Yes pay per views were stretched out so storylines could breathe. As much as the cartoonish era of wrestling in the 80’s was laughed at everybody had a role, had a part to play in its success Can you imagine Ted DiBiase Sr try to just be himself if he was wrestling. Ok he’s a great technical wrestler with good psychology but he’s just that. What separated him from the rest. His laugh The way he made his character presented to him and made it his own
So I got the network in April 2018 for Rousey and also wanted to watch this little small worship center called nxt. Give me a few, I will explain that reference I watched nxt takeover matches before on YouTube so it’s not like I did not know the story of the match in New Orleans between gargano and tomasso After mania I watched their match and it brought a joyful tear in my eye. But as GREAT as that match was ther was one FACTUAL problem with it. The NXT Title was not up for grabs
We all know what should have happened. Gargano won his title match when the title was vacant therefore their rivalry will always have an asterisk to it
I know not every rivalry needs the belt to help lift its significant appeal(see rock Cena 2013) but this was different As much as we want New York to just reappear and pretend that things did not happen the way they did we can’t Unfortunately this is not Bret and Owen just proving to be the best this was new Jack and Sandman trying to straight up end each other during a pandemic. Not their fault but it just comes off weird
Oh that small worship center will eventually turn into a mega church where the choir will be drowned out by all the guitars and drums. Nxt is in trouble because it once was a rebel for wrestling fans for its choir of good content but now that it has to compete is flashing all the instruments instead of using the talented voices

Hey KB I haven’t watched the show because I don’t have USA. Would you go as far to say that the ladder match would’ve been a classic had there been a crowd?

  7. Geno_alpha says:

Thank god I thought I was the only person who hated the Ciampa Gargano match

  8. Lian Fenech says:

I know this is going to piss a lot of people off but I need to say this I really REALLY don’t like Jonny Gargano. While his matches can be good the’re gone far beyond stupid now His matches are only watchable because of his oponents. His promos I skip as I can’t take him seresously no mater what. His Chrisma seems to have gone missing if he had any to begin with. Everone around him seems to make him look better then he actually is All these accalaytes He gets I’ll never understand I’m sorry Feel free to come on here and tell me I’m not a true fan and that I don’t understand Wrestling and expaln to me why he’s great If You do like him more power but I just don’t get it I’m SORRY!

    • Thomas Hall says:

You never have to apologize for not liking a wrestler.

      • Lian Fenech says:

Thanks man I appreciate that I just felt I had to A lot of keyboard wresting warriors do so I just I had to prepare myself.

      • Lian Fenech says:

Adam Clery from What Culture Wrestling also mentioned this._._ Despite HHH saying this would be the final batle between the two no mater what They will have to fight each other again at some point as it wasn’t a clean finish.
