My problem was this was typical WWE execution. There’s hardly any long term storytelling in WWE anymore as Vince just seems to go from week to week based on whatever his mood happens to be at any given time. Paced out, stretched out and details filled in over the course of five or six weeks, this could have been coherent and entertaining at the same time.

I’m more offended by the bait and switch, Hardy vs Bryan would have been a fun match.

    • Mike M. says:

Agreed. Silly angle aside, I was genuinely looking forward to Hardy/Bryan. It was a new pairing and I had high hopes for the match. What annoys me the most though is the Sheamus/Corbin partnership that this might lead to.

You’re right, it’s insane what happened here.

If only they were standing on a platform for no reason waiting to be One winged angel of a conveniently placed platform onto a conventiently placed mat… on a football stadium.

And this DUI angle (with the approval of the person involved in that situation) is of such bad taste, bad WWE.

It’s much better to do a drowning angle after someone passed away earlier in the week due to drowning. A- match for sure

    Double standards much?

    • Thomas Hall says:

      Not at all.

This show is presented as realistic. The other has a sentient drone. They’re very different presentations.

And just because Hardy gave them permission doesn’t make it a good idea.

So Jeff was on the road to redemption and now he got drunk I’m meant to cheer for him still?

  5. Jay H says:

Apparently Jeff has Creative Freedom to do this and if he OK’d it then so be it. It’s not the first time he’s done this angle if we remember his 2009 Smackdown feud with CM Punk being centered around it for the most part.

I am down for a DB/AJ Styles IC Title Tourney Finals, i am surprised they aren’t saving it for Backlash but whatever.

I think Matt Riddle will do well on Smackdown.
