I’m excited for this PPV, because there’s something on the line. There are 5 legitimate main event battles happening.

Mox and Eddie are gonna literally kill each other. It’s gonna be a demolition derby/slasher flick with a mix of one of those lifetime movies that only single women in their 30s enjoy. That’s all a good thing in my mind. These are two veterans with a personal history and that makes for maybe the best AEW title match on PPV.

Omega and Hangman have both been doing incredible character work, with Hangman being the lovable, pissed off drunk, but not too much like other versions of the character. Kenny has been awesome in this cocky, ingenuine asshole shtick he’s got going. Plus the fact that they haven’t even been shown in the same building together until this week has made it all the more special.

I agree with you on The Bucks 100%. You can’t go around kicking everybody then look for sympathy. That said, if the rumor of Matt’s knee are true, then I applaud the office for finding a way to cover it with an angle. Plus, if Nick goes solo for a bit, I won’t complain cause he can be great as an alternative main eventer, almost like AEWs Jey Uso. FTR is SPECIAL TO ME. They are so simple and so ordinary that the fundamentals of late-s NWA tag team wrestling shine in every match. This should finish the Elite/Bucks/FTR trilogy well, better than FTR vs The Elite at All Out, but a step below The Bucks/The Elite from Revolution.

Cody and Darby have, in my opinion, the best chemistry in AEW as opponents. There’s not much of a story, but Cody can turn it on on PPV and Darby killing himself for 15 minutes or so could be fun. I expect it to be above a dynamite main event by a couple notches, which equals a B to, with an A- ceiling.

Jericho and MJF can go so many different ways. I love the story of the world-traveled legend doubting the intensity of the young lion with all the talent and intangibles needed is the best way to go. I expect this to be very different and i feel like I’m gonna love this even if it’s a train wreck, but Jericho turns everything he touches into platinum, so I expect him to get the best out of Max.

Shida and Nyla is something that should be good, but for the life of me I can go the rest of my life without watching another Nyla match.

Serena and Allysin I believe is a way to see if Kay can perform for a large audience. This may be a deal or no deal situation for Allysin, but with Statlander still out, they could use a powerhouse that doesn’t beat it into your head that she’s a powerhouse, and she’s also more polished than Kris. Serena has been in my fav 5 (tribute my grandma cause she’s a huge Booker T fan) females for the last month or so, so I see this being a good technical battle between two veterans of the game.

Sammy has been working his ass off and i think the #Speakingout movement really made him realize that one mistake can cost you everything these days. I dont expect Matt in his late 40s to deliver a classic, and as much a the cinematic stuffmwears on me, I think Matt’s in his element and is an incredible professional and will really play off of Sammy and his abilities. Plus, I’m an unapologetic mark for the Broken Universe.

Silver and Orange are two of the most over acts in the company that aren’t named Darby Allin. This will be fun, but my expectations are low for this one.

IN, you are a huge influence on how I watch and analyze wrestling. I would be honored if, like Wrestlemania, you could give me your feedback on my thoughts. I’m always trying to grow as a fan, and the fact that I’ve read review from you for every televised promotion in the US shows that you and i share the same intense passion for the sport.

I’m really not buying Kingston as a challenger to be honest. They missed a good opportunity to shift the title when MJF challenged, the guy is in danger of becoming Braun Strowman 2.0: Denied the big prize until it’s far too late.
