Kevin Owens should be Universal Champion right now as it took forever to unlock the cuffs and it makes it look like the ref was paid off and curupt.

I enjoyed the show for the most part. Belair is instantly a star. Hopefully she challenges Banks for WM. I think that can be a real money program. As far as the men’s, I like Edge and it truly is a feel-good story, but I didn’t need to see him win. I don’t buy him as a threat to Reigns or McIntyre. I actually enjoyed the women’s Rumble a bit more than the men’s. While I agree the women’s field had more filler participants, I also feel like they had more legitimate possible winners (Charlotte, Ripley, Bayley, Belair, Nia, Shayna). In the men’s, barring a surprise, I feel like Bryan and Edge were really the only legitimate threats to win.

The other matches were just there. I do worry where Owens goes from here. I hope they don’t turn him heel, as I feel he still he has a ton to offer as a face.

2 logic holes that really bothered me about last night:
    1) Charlotte just stopped focusing on Lacey, who bothered her all night, and they had Lacey get randomly eliminated by someone else.
    2) Orton’s burns and angle with Fiend/Alexa being completely ignored last night and not even mentioned at all

Also, what the hell did Cole say when Christian hit the Unprettier?
Lastly, Ember Moon is out of shape and can’t hit her finisher anymore, so she might have to either shape up or hang it up.

I was sad that Daniel got tossed, but man did Edge pick me right back up!!

KB, I could just feel your anguish when Orton hopped back in. I, like you, am sick of the “winner of a battle royale has to sneak in to win” trope that Vince seems to be unable to help himself from doing.

Also, I love that both winners had to survive. Bianca I could see going that long cause of her athletic background, but Edge doing it from #1 was pretty incredible in my book

  5. Sebastian Howard says:

Gotta feel bad for alexa, she has to deal with the shitty creative on raw and instead of getting pushed or to get anything to do at the rumble she just gets buried. Rhea throwing her out felt like them hitting pause on whatever shitty idea they have for tomorrow.

  6. Sebastian Howard says:

I thought Bryan was going to win and job to Roman at wm; now I imagine edge goes for Roman because he’s heel.

  7. Greg says:

Daniel Bryan is just never going to win this is he? Always love seeing Team Hell No but goodness Kane, eat a salad.

I hope that was a one time thing with Rey’s ad. I am not happy with the Pandora’s box this opens up. WWE has enough money.

AJ got his ass kicked the entire match. Hilarious.

Women’s rumble dragged a bit too much. Still obvious they don’t have enough stars to fully staff the Women’s Rumble without legends. I did not get Bliss’ involvement at all. Made her, and by extension The Fiend, look like a dork. The commentary going on about her metamorphosis like she’s a damn butterfly.

I actually had fun with this show. Haven’t thought that in awhile.

  8. Jay H (the real one again) says:

An excellent Royal Rumble with all the right outcomes. I was legitimately shocked to see not only Christian but Victoria return, that one i did not expect. I have to think both Winners go after the Top 2 Smackdown Titles, not sure where that leaves Drew Mcintyre but i guess we’ll see how the Elimination Chamber goes if Edge chooses to face Roman Reigns. Sasha & Bianca should be fantastic based on the Promos alone.

  9. Jimmy Pledger says:

I’d love to see AJ vs Christian given their history in TNA.

  10. james gracie says:

Wow. I only watched for the Men’s Rumble and I liked it. That was a tremendous finish. One of the best finishing sequences in the history of the Rumble. They didn’t drag the ending out. Plus they did a good job of not filling the ring too much which has been a problem. Best Rumble in a very long time, probably since 2010.

And yes this is really me

    • Governor Darby Del Vecchio says:

When has this guy ever said anything positive about WWE? We have a confirmed case of JAYvid 21 here and it is imperative that Mr. Gracie quarantines. This is extremely alarming.

  11. Dragon says:

The mens rumble was good and a surprise which is what Rumbles are supposed to be. However KB I have to disagree on the womens rumble. It was lame and way too choreographed. And did you not notice the ending? Ripley pretty much jumped to eliminate herself. Timing was way off. And you cannot be harsh on that jackhammer……Drew is a huge man and Goldberg is well into his 50s….it was impressive as hell.

    • Thomas Hall says:

      On the Jackhammer:

When he hasn’t hit a good one in probably years, I’d think the harshness is fair.

      • Guy Incognito says:

Gonna agree with Dragon here, as his Jackhammer looked better than it has in a while.
Him, on the other hand, didn’t look as great, with the gym shorts instead of classic tights.
