WWE keeps bringing Goldberg back because there are more viewers that prefer Goldberg and other legends than the current roster. ( casual fans and traditional fans vs IWC) The minority is more vocal than the majority however. You cannot argue with the big reaction he got in Texas. In the end it is all about $ and gaining viewers and without some special attractions , nobody is watching the current product other than you die hards who will watch no matter who is on the show.

    • Thomas Hall says:

Well maybe that wouldn’t be a problem if they made a new Goldberg instead of just using the same one.

  2. Dragon says:

    1) Kross reportedly is exhibiting a bad attitude towards coworkers backstage. That loss is well deserved.

2)Keith Lee will be fine. He lost to the champ.

    3) Goldberg does return often but he is a big name and they need big names for Summerslam. The current roster can have their shots on the lower level shows. You guys in the IWC would watch even if it was Lashley vs Reginald in the main event. Nobody else is currently watching so they need known names to bring viewers back. Nobody knows who Keith Lee and Karrion Kross are.

If a certain commenter was still here, he’d be pissed and fight you over the grade you just gave this show. We need him back. Why is he missing? Where did he go? Why did he go? These are the questions I need answers for. If we can answer these simple questions, we can find this allusive, infamous commenter. The entertainment he brought, we took for granted. Now its our turn to find him.

    Help me help you.

    Nice and accurate review.
You are 1000% correct in that it’s a RAW problem, as this show is by far worse than all their others.
Even their commentary is worse as Graves doesn’t shut up for a second even with the fans back, as he talks over them and entrances.
    So many questions to ask.
Why are they insistent on so many rematches? Next week they’re doing the tag title rematch from MITB.
Why did they bury Keith Lee like that on his first match in half a year?
Why do they think Goldberg is still a thing after jobbing cleanly his last couple of times out?
Why do they refuse to ever let Ripley get a win over Charlotte?
Do they not see the big problem with 3 hours and is there no way around it?

  5. Mike M says:

No entertainment/sports brand hates their fans more than WWE. The WWE is a reality star. All publicity is good publicity. “We might get on ESPN for 30 seconds with Goldberg. Who cares if the actual match gets booed out of the building!!!” I’m so glad Cole and Gargano haven’t been called down to the minors yet and have stayed on NXT. Hardy has been jobbing on Main Event and he beats Kross, even with a cheating fluke roll-up. They know people watch all three “brands”, right? And as glad as I am that Nikki got her moment, there’s no way in hell this was anything more than another notch on Charlotte’s belt of title reigns. I know this rambling but it still makes more sense than 95% of last night’s RAW did.

  6. John says:

The only thing I don’t mind is the Goldberg return. As a huge Goldberg fan growing up, I’ll never get tired of him coming back. Even if the match at Summerslam is shit it’ll still feel big.

Charlotte’s promo’s are terrible, her droning voice just rambling on and on. Why even have her beat Ripley for a one day title reign? Other than to add to her already too many title count.

Why are there two authority figures to come out and say the same thing?

Keith Lee should be the biggest star in the company. Total package.

They need to get rid of this Alexa character asap. The Bray Wyatt gimmick doesn’t work without the charisma.

The three hour format will never work, which is why I’ll probably just stick to Smackdown now that fans have returned and we aren’t watching wrestling in an empty arena. Sorry for the long post, this is my first time watching Raw in months and had a few rambling thoughts.

  7. Liam Fenech says:

As dissapointing as it was I feel Kross losing is fine if it sets up a one off title match where Kross beats Hardy in dominant fashion. Remember Hardy won but he got lucky.

    • Liam Fenech says:

I’ve also just remembered that’s the second time Keth Lees been sacrificed for Goldberg I’m not saying Keth Lee should have beaten Lashey just gave him a run for 15 20 mins If this happens it’s keeps Lee as a thrat in Lasheys mind. When Keth Lee lost to Macintyre in January for the WWE title it was a good back and forth contest Now Lees chances of being a main eventer are dead. because of how he lost here.

      • Stone Cold Tea says:

Nonsense. HHH lost to Warrior in 12 seconds, Drew McIntyre was in 3mb. There’s probably many more examples but that’s just 2 off the top of my head.

  8. Aeon Mathix says:

i swear every time i read your raw review it’s Sheamus vs Humberto. i might go and count how many times they’ve run this match.

    • Thomas Hall says:

This was the fifth time since May 10.

      • Aeon Mathix says:

good lord. would probably have been twice that if Sheamus wasn’t out for a little bit.

while i’m here i cannot believe they aren’t doing Lesnar vs Lashley. feel like there would have been some very “real” moments in there considering their backgrounds. but nah let’s have a 2 minute spearfest.
