I stick with what I said last week

Callihan would have been 15 times better because he can wrestle and do hardcore

Also, I like that the Elite makes everyone want to punch them in the face. Also, the pop when hangman beats Omega will be nuclear, especially in Chicago.

Why did you rate the Slammiversary main event that much higher than this main event?
It was very near the same level of violence with the pizza cutter and all, just missing the light tubes and they used tacks instead of glass.

    • Thomas Hall says:

Combination of the lack of light tubes and Sami Callihan, who has done some good stuff before, being there instead of Nick Gage.

      • Guy Incognito says:

        Fair enough.
Amazing how many people brought up the pizza cutter on AEW but not Impact, showing how little watched Slammiversary.

        • Thomas Hall says:

It really does astound me sometimes how nothing Impact is. I’m just now getting to last week’s show and I don’t think anyone has even mentioned it. That’s sad in a way as IMpact really isn’t that bad most of the time. Dull yes, but not bad.

Always amazing that “wrestling experts” dont get the type of heat the Elite is drawing with smarks. Its supposed to mock modern wrestling conventions. Thats why its working on you guys.

If it was normal “cool guy heel shit” then youd love it because that is a smarks idea of a “good heel”

    Just clueless

    • Thomas Hall says:

The second biggest wrestling promotion in the country, if not the world, is apparently spending time and possibly money to come up with ways to work smart fans, as in the core of their audience.

      But I’m clueless. Right.

      • Conor says:

Plugging a movie for money and getting heel heat as a by-product is hardly this shocking and stupid idea.

        • Thomas Hall says:

          Like I said:

“if AEW can make some money off of the Space Jam deal, so be it.”

I get why they did it. I don’t get why every single thing the Elite does has to be turned into some kind of joke. It gets really, really old and it would be nice to have something actually feel important for a change.

Only working smart fans who dont get it or ones that are fighting it. – And its working big time.

And the ones who fight it (“you shouldnt do this as a heels!”) are ones who are the most angry about it and thats a smart way to play a modern heel character in my book. Those people are obsessed.

But I guess you like all the rest want them to act like every other heel thats existed before. Act extra serious like the rest. Not very heelish behavior IMO

Chris Jericho went from beating The Rock and Stone Cold in one night, to getting maimed on national television by a meth head armed with light tubes and a pizza cutter.

Embarrassing. This deserved an F for sure, KB.

    • B.J. says:

That is a huge step down. I honestly wish Callihan would’ve got this spot

    • Jeff says:

Jesus, “smart” wrestling fans are the worst. What egos.

Thats why Jericho gets it. Hes willing to work with whoever to put on a great show. No ego. Thats why hes one of the GOATs

  5. B.J. says:

KB r u surprised that Jericho taking these crazy matches and bumps at this stage of his career???
