I pretty much spent the whole Zayn/Knoxville match dying of laughter cause I legit felt 12 again (I’m 23)

Other than that, seeing my childhood heroes (Edge/AJ), the RKOs and my crush (Liv) in a Catwoman outfit yeah I was pretty bored through most of it. Edge and AJ was great to me cause it was doing the slow build style.

I was impressed by McAfee and Theory selling that stunner legit popped me (but I’m a mark for him so…)

Night one was pretty great after they hit the main matches, but it’s like everyone knew on Sunday that Brock/Roman 2000 was the only thing anyone really cared about and nobody bothered to try to stand out aside from Pat

I must be in the minority cause i thought this was maybe in the top 10, maybe top 5 manias of a time. Night 2 wasnt as good as nught 1 no. But the hell if i wasnt entertained by the whole show. My only issues were mcmahon pinkion mcafee. Austin not coming out before the pin. And the insane amount of recaps. Like damn. Lol

Yknow another thing about this mania is almost no one “new” won anything. I guess bianca beat Becky but that’s about it. Charlotte beat rousey, Austin beat ko, tag teams retained, celebrities won their matches, pat beat Austin theory who’s supposed to be the future, edge beat aj and Roman retained in the main event. Not a single person who’s actually supposed to be the future of the company got a win except for bianca who already got a wm win last year over sasha so it’s not really pushing someone new.

  4. Sebastian Howard says:

I thought aj edge was closer to a b plus but it’s kind of hard for me to defend the match with dead ass crowd.

  5. Sebastian Howard says:

Wretlemania night 2 was boring af. Best match was aj edge and crowd was dead af for it until the finish. Roman lesnar didn’t even resemble a wrestling match and was just a finisher fest and Roman predictably won. They need to push drew and have him take the title off Roman but I doubt it’s going to happen as wwes plans for next year are Roman vs rock at mania for the title which means an entire another year of Roman as champ. 🤦 yknow they could’ve pushed Cesaro and had him win at mania and crowd would’ve been hot af for it and instead they fired him. God forbid wwe actually pushes someone new. Also vince looked in terrible shape, I mean for his age he looks good but in comparison to himself in the past this is the worst he’s looked. No reason for him to be doing 90s nostalgia when he’s this old and can’t even take a stunner.

    • Caleb John Undahl says:

I cringed hard at the stunner and the fact that they made it an official match instead of a McMahon distraction/Theory beating followed by Austin kinda just annoyed me more than anything

    • Greg says:

Small correction, Cesaro wasn’t fired. He choose not to re-sign. But he probably would have if they pushed him. But he’s pushing 40 and lacked promo skill, so I think his ceiling was always going to be what it was.

      • Sebastian Howard says:

Hello do you remember Chris Benoit winning the world title at wm 20? Not to mention that Cesaro isn’t even bad on the mic, if you look at his promos when he first came in as a heel in like 2012-13 and was Antonio Cesaro he was really good, he’s just kind of bland as a face.

      • Sebastian Howard says:

Also I don’t think “bad on the mic” works as a criticism when the top guy facing Roman is LESNAR! I think its pretty arguable that Cesaro is just as good if not better than Lesnar on the mic.

        • Greg says:

If you do not have good mic skills (or height, or charisma, or whatever), you have to be extraordinary in other areas. Lesnar does not need mic skills. He’s a monster. You can understand Lesnar by just looking at him.

Cesaro was killed when he did that promo while wearing a shirt that said wrestler (or something like that) on Raw. They gave him a live mic, alone, on Raw and he stumbled, badly. I don’t think he ever really recovered in Vince’s eyes from that.

Now, I don’t think he was bad on the mic but I never really felt impressed by any promo of his. I felt he was okay at most on the mic. Very, very good in the ring but not out of this world special. Good look but not special.

As for Benoit, Benoit was better in the ring than Cesaro. Benoit was never really trusted to be the main event though. I don’t disagree with that decision either.

Hey dude! Do you want my RAW ticket tonight? Sec 317 Row A. Ive had so much fun at the shows this weekend (including last night which wasnt good but sure was fun) that I dont want to end it on a downnote and then get hit with a long wait for an expensive Lyft. Shoot an email to the address i provided below if youd like a transfer! I post as kungfool on a couple other sites your reviews appear on.

  7. Greg says:

First off, you’re a machine. I can’t imagine the amount of wrestling you’ve seen the past few days, while traveling, and still have time to get these out. Awesome.

Styles cut himself by walking into the set while coming out.

The commentary made the Zayn/Knoxville match. Not a Jackass fan but holy crap Cole was having the time of his life. I had a better time with that match than I thought I would.

The recaps were a bit much. Wish they did more interviews in place of that. Or straight to the video package for the next match.

Pat in a handicap match vs Theory/McMahon I think would have worked better. Still basically have the same ending, saves Theory from a loss. Cool moment though.

Overall, this was an enjoyable Mania. Weirdly this was a show where it absolutely could not have been one night but did not have “enough” for two nights.

    • Bret Cyr says:

Ill have to watch the broadcast for the commentary on the Jackass. I was at the show last night and the reactions of those around me (particularly the lil kids) really helped me enjoy it way more than i would have on my own.

  8. james gracie says:

Oh man how bad was night 2……probably. Didn’t watch, didn’t read the review and don’t care. It amazes me that people still watch this garbage. Did I just read they had 2 celebrities wrestling??? They release all those guys and had to resort to a stuntman and a former football player wrestling? WHAT?!? I bet the crowd loved that. You could probably hear a pin drop during those matches probably. And the main was Lesnar vs Reigns?….AGAIN? How many times have they faced each other in the main event at Mania?

Awful show tonight probably. Glad I didn’t watch
