Stop with the interm titles. Tony Khans too nice for AEW If he wants AEW to be a long term success he needs to start riffuleing feathers and monitoring inde bookings for his wrestlers Thair biggest paychecks come from him Now Moxleys the world Champion if he gets injured as champ doing a silly pointless deathmatch Tonys really screwed over and he’ll have no one but himself to blame.

I don’t think they did anything right here, they gave away their ppv main on free tv, punk got squashed so I don’t want to see it again nor am I excited for anything punk’s going to be doing at this point and they didn’t even set up Anything for all out. If punk was injured why tf would they have him come back before he’s ready anyway and if it’s backstage politics thats just Tony shooting himself in the foot.

I think it was a great move by AEW (granted that it wasn’t to punish Punk). As KB mentioned it, they are the talk of the town after this and no one has any idea what comes next. I believe they did it so Punk has an out (injured foot) and they can still have their big match when both are 100% (of course storyline-wise). Many people will tune in next week just to see what the heck is going on and what is planned for All out…I actually have no idea, could be going in 25 different directions…

      • Showtime says:

Most of All Out seems set up… except the World Title. With only one week to build the match, almost anything will be underwhelming

According to meltzer punk moxley is going to main event all out and it was just an angle.

      • Sebastian says:

        From meltzer:

“We’ve only got just over a week [until All Out], but it is Punk and Moxley. I don’t know if they’re gonna add stips or whatever, but that is the main event.”

“[Punk’s] gonna be back in 10 days. Look, he’ll go in there selling the foot…the rematch is in Chicago. Punk’s gonna be cheered like crazy. Punk can play the babyface with the bad foot…and they can work a great match with that handicap.”

    • Showtime says:

My guess, they wanted to put an end to the Interm tag for their world title. Punk is probably still months away from being able to wrestle again, so it’s probably a better idea to job Punk in Moxley’s home state than it would be to job Punk in Chicago

      • Sebastian says:

No according to meltzer the main of all out is still going to be punk moxley.

I love how he justifies the stupid booking by saying it will make punk look more sympathetic, no it will make punk look like he has no chance and if he beats moxley that makes moxley look even worse.

      Agreed completely.
How are they doing right if they have no main event or world title match announced for their big PPV in 10 days?
Doesn’t KB usually rag on WWE when they don’t have stuff announced 2 weeks before their PPV?
I’d rather a main event be announced from weeks before and then the rest gets filled out later on instead of the opposite.
Is that Guevara/Kingston match still happening they mentioned a while back?
I’m sure they’ll add another 8 matches between now and the PPV anyway.

      • Thomas Hall says:

I’d love to know how we got to this point with the World Title, as the main event scene feels all over the place at the moment.

        • Guy Incognito says:

Bring me back to my original question:
Why did you say they are doing right?

          • Thomas Hall says:

They have me curious about what is going to happen, but I’m also worried about what it is going to be, as their options are very limited.

        • Showtime says:

I read somewhere that Moxley pitched this idea of Punk jobbing. That could explain why it is a mess

    What in the actual heck
