The Green Bastard is from the show Trailer Park Boys and frankly, the Green Bastard in Canada is more popular than anyone in AEW, Cope and Christian included.

Its a local thing but in Canada, there ain’t too many things more over here than the Trailer Park Boys.

“. I liked it, but as usual I’m exhausted and not wanting to see AEW for a long time, which is always the case on these pay per views.”

Yes I’m sure your fatigue has nothing to do with having to sit through the shit show that was Wrestlepalaooza live with a crowd that was dead all night because Cena got squashed. You’re not wanting to see AEW for a long time but more WWE slop sounds good?

“B. The show is good overall with most of the big matches delivering, but they have got to cut back on the garbage wrestling/weapons stuff. It’s choking the life out of these shows as it feels like putting things in the matches for the sake of having them there.”

I disagree in the sense that the no dq matches killed the show or whatever, Mox/Darby and MJF/Briscoe both had the crowd on fire and both had surprising endings. If anything my problem with Mox/Darby is that the feud should be over and Darby should’ve won but they’re dragging it out but you can’t say that about MJF/Briscoe. Briscoe won and the feuds over. Now if you’re talking about them using tables or whatever in Hangman/Fletcher… ok that seems like a nitpick since wwe does table bump spots through the commentary table all the time in normal matches but sure. BTW why tf are you on Bluesky?

“Rating: B. They kept the energy going here and it was a rather nice good match as a result. It’s a fine example of a match where they got in, did their thing, and got out before it went too long. The ending is a bit odd, but Statlander is instantly launched up the ranks and that’s a great thing to see. Much better than I was expecting here.”

No comment on surprise that Toni finally lost the title here or that Statlander won it with Yuta’s seatbelt cradle? I really wasn’t expecting Toni to lose here, she’s had the belt for like idek how long 2 years?

  4. Sebastian Howard says:

“Rating: C-. The action was fine, but good grief I can’t stand this nonsense. Between the fork, the ear nonsense, the plastic bag over the head, and of course HAHA MOXLEY WINS AGAIN, I was getting more and more annoyed watching the match. It’s more stupid stunts and violence for the sake of stunts and violence and the good guy doesn’t even win after his big return because Moxley has to instead. Just more nonsense and incredibly annoying.”

I don’t see the problem with the plastic bag, it was a call back and revenge for Mox doing it to Bryan. Mox winning was the other surprise result for me along with Toni actually losing her title in a four way. IDK I enjoyed this more than you yet again.

I love when I try to make a comment and get “Origin Unreachable

Sorry, we are unable to reach the origin server at the moment. Please try again later.”

  6. Sebastian Howard says:

“I’m not exactly convinced this is leading to something big, but it’s certainly a surprise win for a change.”

I wasn’t surprised Ricochet and GOA won because MVP was in the match and was there to take the fall.

  7. Sebastian Howard says:

“Rating: C+. What is there to say about this? They used the tacks and then they used the tacks and then they used the tacks and then they used some tables and then they used tacks on a table and then they used more tacks. It was fun to see MJF get hurt, but it was really hard to get interested when it was the same weapons time after time. I don’t care for this kind of match in the first place and this wasn’t an interesting way to go either.” So you’re not even going to bring up the fact that MJF lost to Briscoe? That’s a HUGE deal, Briscoe really hasn’t had a major win since coming to AEW and got to beat MJF clean. This was the first of three surprising results for me and it makes me wonder if Brsicoe is going to get a bigger push now. I liked the match but I’m starting to wonder if since I enjoyed Mox/Hangman so much more than you if I’m developing a taste for torture porn wrestling.
