I had serious problems with Ospreay/Swerve. First off it was too slow at the start, ospreay did a blade job but it felt like nothing was happening. Then the match got good when Ospreay started just trying to murder tf out of Swerve by swinging his head on the stops causing a huge blade job. after the styles clash on the table and the elbow to the back of the neck I feel like the match should’ve ended after a hidden blade. The story would’ve been similar to Shawn/Taker at wm 2010 with Swerve just trying to fight back but having nothing left in the tank and coming in too cocky and underestimating how brutal Ospreay has gotten. Instead of doing that and showcasing how violent Ospreay is now Swerve got back up and they did endless finisher spam and no selling. It felt like masturbatory self indulgent trip/shawn bad blood 04 shit but arguably even worse because of how ridiclous the no selling was.

I thought ZSJ/Omega was disappointing, like pretty mid probably 3.5 while Moxley/Bandido was really good. IDK what it was about zsj/omega I just know I definitely wasn’t as engaged as I was with danielson/zsj, maybe because it was such a styles clash and had way less technical wrestling? Mox/Bandido on the other hand had really good violence and a really good story and made me actually care about Bandido even though I agree it was obvious that Mox was going to win. I just feel like Mox has been laying out his matches really well for over a year at this point, ever since he lost the title at All In to Hangman his matches have been awesome.

I tried watching this show last night, but bailed after the SLK/Thekla match. Even with people I really wanted to see, the style is just not for me.

The Moxley match was when the structure became as visible as the match to me. It’s big move, pause for a bit, then do the next big move, etc. It’s not really a match as it is guys doing something big and then waiting for the next big move.

Also, Bandido losing and then shaking Moxley’s hand was weird…
