Weird show. Feels unnecessary and a stopgap for the REALLY big PPV next time, which you never want in a big show.

Nick eating a dozen finishers and still popping up and hitting a ton of superkicks is HILARIOUS and proof he can’t actually wrestle. Jay White returning from injury and immediately losing a prominent match is strange.

Thekla’s hot run ending this way is quite strange, especially as Willow didn’t exactly have a hot mega-run getting here, but the really strange bit is Shida winning her belt and promptly being set up to lose so soon after her heel turn.

In fact, there’s been a LOT of hot-shotting belts all over the place in AEW lately, and it’s as big an issue as their glut of belts. The value of belts is directly tied to their rarity, and tons of switches mean that any upcoming switches feel diminished as well. If it’s so easy to win belts then people aren’t going to care as much when the top ones change hands.
