Pac (Adrian Neville) Passes Away At 40

I don’t get shocked by much in wrestling but this did it. We still don’t have a cause of death or any details (do not speculate on it as I’ll delete any such banter) but my goodness this is insane no matter what. This comes less than a day after he was challenging for a title at AEW All Out. He was a heck of a star in NXT and should have been a bigger deal on the main roster before totally reinventing himself in AEW and elsewhere. I’ll have a column up about a certain match of his in a day or so.
Favorite moments/matches/etc of his?
40 is far too young. Pac was a great wrestler, I thought he was one of the best AEW ever had. RIP.
I don’t know what to say. This is just awful.
Less than a day after All Out and 40 is way too young, fuck man. The first NXT TakeOver I watched was R Evolution, where he main evented with Sami Zayn and dropped the NXT Title to him, one of the first times I saw him and I instantly became a fan. His time as the King of the Cruiserweights was immensely entertaining and made 205 Live watchable, frankly. Wish he got to do more in WWE but what he did was great. A special shout-out as well to the match on Raw he had against Seth Rollins for the world title in 2015.
And of course his time in AEW has been fun whenever he’s managed to stay healthy. Death Triangle had some fun matches, especially the best of 7 series with Kenny and the Bucks, and his time in the Death Riders has been good as well. Just any chance he’s gotten to go out there and just be The Bastard has been entertaining, gonna miss the guy. My condolences to his friends and loved ones.
Are you still in contact with Lee from WZF at all, KB? He personally knew Pac and wrestled him on trampolines back when they were kids, and I’d really like to send him my condolences.
