Same here. Got my picture in the ring with Kurt Angle and Velvet Sky, got to meet and talk with Madison Rayne, who in 2010 was far hotter in person than on TV, and lots more. That’s one reason why their failure to provide a compelling televised product is such a shame, because they clearly know how to take care of fans.

I’ve been a rasslin’ fan for a long time, so I’ve gotten pretty good at reading beneath the actual written words with most wrestling journalists. This gift tells me you didn’t pay the extra 20 bucks at the last TNA house show you attended in order to get your pic taken with Eric Young. I understand; some of us vomited profusely at the sight of, say, Brutus Beefcake back in his ’80’s heyday (or should I say “Hair”day? Ah ha haaa!!!), and some of us store up inordinate amounts of loathing directed towards former TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Eric Young, aka Showtime, aka “The Crippling Canuck”, which I just made up. obviously.
Still, even you must have been inspired beyond words when EY, despite being undersized, despite not catering to management evidenced by his unique idea to grow a big shaggy beard, somehow won The Strap, in a powerful, tearjerking angle later adapted by the company’s hapless competitors up North in an effort to boost awareness about their big annual show, WrestleFest, I think.
Or it may have been Dixie and her brigade of idiots not even waiting for the Yes chants to die down before ripping it off, taking all of 6 days to scour her roster for that perfect guy to give TNA fans a special, lukewarm tingle.

I’ve been to one TNA show and my goodness they nail the fan experience. My fiance and I dropped $50 for the VIP experience and got to meet the Dudleys, Jeff Hardy, Gunner, James Storm, AJ Styles and get our picture taken in the ring with Sting himself. We ran into Earl Hebner too and he asked how we liked the show. We said we had a good time and he seemed very glad to hear it. I give TNA a lot of flack, but they knock house shows out of the park. Literally in this case as it was at a baseball stadium.
