“This was a rough sit after the first hour. As usual, this show felt like it was just going on and on for the sake of going on and on, which is one of the last things you want on a go home show. ”

This is exactly how I felt about the show, it was bore to sit through. On Mondays I’m really damn busy as I’m at College all day. I don’t even get home ’till nine and after working all day I want to relax and watch something entertaining. And just about every Monday I come home and watch Raw and I do my best to enjoy it, I really do but the product has been so awful lately.

I thought last weeks show was pretty good, loved the Ambrose/Lesnar sequences and the Bryan speech but I mean, when I’m looking forward to watching this show tonight I want SOMETHING to keep my interest and something entertaining happening but nine times out of ten its just another bullshit show. I absolutely cannot believe that they had Braun Strauman vs Big Show as the main event. Is WWE completely blind and deaf to who the crowd has been responding to since 2011?

And the worst part is that this is supposed to be when WWE gets good, this is WRESTLEMANIA SEASON FOR goodness SAKE!!! This damn show used to get 6.0’s on a WEEKLY basis and now they’re dicking around trying to get a high 2.0. If the shows continue to be this dull after Mania I might give up watching Raw for a while and just watching the big PPVs on the Network.

    • Greg says:

      Use DVR.

Also the rating comparison is not really relevant anymore. Getting a 6.0 is way different today. They could be churning out 2000 quality stuff and they would still not get anything near a 6.

      • Sebastian Howard says:

That’s probably true ala the ratings but it wasn’t too long ago (2009) that the company was pulling in 4.0’s around Wrestlemania season.

As for DVR I don’t have one, I could just torrent the show but I’ve kind of given up on torrenting anything wrestling related when I got the Network. I don’t mind sitting through three hours of wrestling if its GOOD and interesting (I always thought that point was stupid, if I can sit through a 3 hour movie I can sit through a three hour wrestling show that’s really only two hours and fifteen minutes without commercials), its more that I’m dissapointed in the quality of the show.

I do want to ask you though, what do you think Raw can get as its highest rating now? You say there’s no way they could pull a 6.0 so what do you think their max could be if they were trying to pull in new viewers?

        • Greg says:

I think 4 is the max they could get and maintain (4.5-5 if it were two hours). However, since it’s 3 hours and there isn’t anything you can really compare it too, I’m very iffy on 4.

They have three things working against them today that weren’t a problem before. One is the 5 billion other entertainment options available (over 1000 TV channels, Netflix, Hulu, anything on the internet, etc). The second is you don’t have to watch Raw via TV (streaming and torrents don’t get counted for ratings). The third is the three hours. Say a person is flipping through channels and lands on Raw. That person goes wow this is cool I’ll watch it. That person then sees it is a 3 hour show every week. They probably won’t stay. Hooking news fans to watch a 3 hour show is not easy.

I think they should try to section the show. Book one hour like NXT. Have the US champion or IC champion lead that hour (and never outright admit that’s what the hour is for). Then book the other two like you would for a normal Raw.

Sadly I think the latter response from James Gracie is the real deal. You know whats sad about the comment section is instead of talking about the actual Show its nothing but people trolling and telling others not to comment anymore. I have an idea KB I think you should turn off the comments and people like me who want to read your reviews can do just that without having to read all the nonsense down here.

Anyway I think since Dean Ambrose lost the IC Title I have him winning on Sunday and facing HHH at WM while Roman Reigns is the Undertaker’s opponent this year. Also Goldust is just timeless entertainment and im getting a kick out of his skits with R-Truth.

    • Jay H (the real one) says:

Don’t close the comments KB, it’s how we discuss. Without discussion there’s no ability to learn, and without that how are we meant to progress as a community?

I’m sure I’ll learn how to interact with other humans at some point, or at least I’ll stop reading the comments myself if it continues to make me burn with a sexual rage.

This most recent one seems like ‘the real one’

  4. DB fan says:

What? james gracie already posted his response. Who is this weird copycat? Sorry, dude, funny impression, but the cunt has already spoken.

  5. james gracie says:

omg how bad was that? Dean Ambrose shouldn’t have lost the ic title and should win the wwwe world heavyweight title at wrestlemania and then go on to headline wrestlemania 33. Why did he lose the title? Kevin Owens is too fat to be ic champion and everyone knows it.

why did we have to see aj vs. miz? Nobody wants to see that, just like nobody wants to see aj vs. chris jericho for the seven hundreth time. Am I right?

Everyone is bored of Sasha Banks already and shes not even hot. She should just be on the pre-show at wrestlemania.

Will the dudley boyz hurry up and retire already? They were never any good and they’re too old now. But they should bring Spike Dudley back to feud with Tamina.

Social Outcasts are jobbers for a reason. And Zack Ryder is an embarrassment. No more appearances on raw please.

Can’t believe ryback, kane and show close out raw. That is so bad! It should be triple h closing out raw because he is the champion.

    • Jay H (the real one) says:

      You’re not fooling anyone.

      • S. Edwards says:

No offense Jay H, but everyone finds you nearly as irritating as james gracie. I don’t mean to be rude, but would you mind not commenting anymore? Honestly, we’ve tried caring about your opinion, but it’s impossible.

      • Dookie Blaster 4.0 says:

you cant fool us Jay. we all know that was you trying to frame based james gracie you heathen

        • (The jay post was obviously by a guy telling them the couldn't fool us by changing their name to James Gracie (I know because I change my name here daily because it's the most entertaining thing you can do here sometimes)) says:

Jay probably thinks he’s the biggest troll ever, or at least that’s what he’s going to say when he can’t handle the fact that no one likes him.

  6. Dookie Blaster 4.0 says:

i dont think its fair to say the Miz is one of the least popular dudes when everywhere i look i see peeps praising him and all.

  7. Dorian says:

I thought this show started HOT – and then fizzled beyond the AJ match.

Also, what’s wrong with this crowd – AJ being whatted out of the building. Come on

And WTF am I watching that we have Show/Kane and Ryback close out a go home show?

It’s obvious that they are trying to repair Bray’s reputation and elevating him the best they can before the inevitable run in the main event on Sunday costing Lesnar. But the goodness sake – you had a good part of a year to build this thing for WM!

Ambrose, Reigns, Jericho and AJ are the undisputed MVPs of WWE these days; and they are salvaging Raw every week. What a pity that all of them were showcased towards the beginning of the show…
