I still say Angle/Taker should’ve been at Mania 22. But Kurt was on a roll whenever he was healthy, he’s up there with Shawn for me as the GOAT.

The Angle/Lesnar Ironman match the following month is the best match of its kind in history in my opinion. Classic.

Also not sure how Taker reinvigorated his career in 2007 when his match at No Way Out 06 against Angle is better than any match he had in 2007.

That was indeed great but after that Undertaker turned into a guaranteed great match every night, not just against Angle, who was on the roll of his life at that point.

I was talking about this on another forum earlier but it’s so strange how mma saved undertaker’s legacy. Without it he never would have focused on the grounded reality based aspects of wrestling that the public shifted to wanting in the product, he probably doesn’t stay in shape as long as he has, and he misses this second wind of his career from roughly 2005( the Orton feud essentially) through 2011( when he started his Wrestlemania only portion of his career). That era really is a saving grace when you think about it. Taker had those epic feuds and Cell matches with Michaels, Kane, Austin, Foley, and Triple H in the 90s and early 00’s but there is a lot of crap squeezed in between.

Taker in the mid to late 00’s really nails long term feuds and big matches with guys like Angle, Orton, Batista, Triple H, HBK, and Edge that were so memorable.
