I just dig the Dexter Lumis Character and it’s just different from most of what we see today, it just works I think. Plus they are trying to get some new blood in the Ladder Match.

I do like that they are putting new people in the ladder match. Lee saying he’s vacating it to give people opportunity and then having the same old people go after it would be pointless. That said, Thatcher should have went over. He’s been built up pretty well and losing via submission was a bad idea.

I can’t really explain Lumis’ appeal. Personally, I just…like the guy. I can’t argue with anyone who doesn’t as I get it, he’s just so subtlely different that he doesn’t neatly fit in anywhere. I think that’s one of the reasons I dig the guy.

I also like that they’ve gone in a couple of surprising directions when it comes to the NA ladder match. It’s also a nice little nod to the title’s lineage as the first champ was decided in a ladder match, in what MIGHT have been the overall greatest ladder match in all of WWE history. I didn’t see Bronson Reed winning and I didn’t see Lumis winning and there are still three spots left.

I’m not worried as NXT has a sterling history of making good calls on who to push, who to be champ, etc.. Sure, they don’t get it right ALL the time, nobody does, but they also don’t just wait around and force someone onto fans for months on end if the fans aren’t into it.

I’m the same on Lumis I like him but I completely understand why some people wouldn’t. I can’t expain it his manarisams just draw me in.

I’m hoping they have bigger and better things for Balor and Thatcher at the next Takeover. Otherwise, I really don’t get giving the former Samuel “Get Out Of My Room!” Shaw a big win.
