The El Grande Americano story is simply amazing and weird. It started out as some weird thing Chad Gable was doing, and some people thought it might be offensive to Mexicans and the Lucha Libre scene. Fast forward to Gable getting injured, and now there’s a new Americano wearing the mask. He ends up becoming one of the most over stars in Mexico and people loved him. And following Gable’s return, it culminated into a brutal war for the right to be EGA.

And somehow, it just worked. This is from someone who wasn’t exactly thrilled with the El Grande Americano stuff in the beginning, too.

I did not enjoy any of this, but it was very AAA. All the interference in the DW3/Vikingo match and the main event is exactly what AAA was in its final decade.

That being said, it seemed like a show that connected with its audience, so I don’t want to criticize it too much. And for anyone who was afraid WWE would choke out the original AAA flavor, they can rest easy now.

Apparently undertaker was a fan of Mill mascaras when he was younger and when he became the booker in an interview he gave he said he wanted to add WWE style flavour while keeping aaa’s original essence. As a new fan of AAA I must admit I was worried they were going to book the Wyatt sicks to crush the psycho circus in house of horrors psycho clown is my favourite so I was pleasantly surprised when they won the only thing I’m worried about is TKO seems obsessed with Las Vegas I just found out when watching live the first night of triple mania will be taking place there.
